*Thanks for the Memory, the bad taste, the teenage agnst, *Keep on Rockin’
*NOT included in this albumArguably the founders of punk long before it was fashionable, from “skinheds” to “long haired yobs”. Parents & teachers hated Slade for their misspelling and bad grammar. If they weren't stomping around the country playing sell out gigs they would be storming the charts as the greatest R’n’R band of their era.Originally released in September 1973 Sladest was different from the usual chronological hits compilations in that it featured early singles and “B” sides along with album tracks from their back catalogue and of course many chart smashes, all ordered in such a way as it played like an album. The 2022 expanded version includes an extra 8 tracks. The only disappointing point about this release is that the same formula could easily have been applied to their whole chart career making for an exceedingly good Deluxe version.

The original greatest hits of Slade
This is all thriller’s no fillers, a great LP, shame we didn’t get a gatefold sleeve on the release

A mini greatest hits
'Sladest' was obviously released originally to cash in on their massive success and as such it's a sort of mini greatest hits album. Some of the early tracks are also featured so this is well worth having. The splatter vinyl looks great and sound quality is very good making this essential for any Slade fan.

Sladest a classic Slade album
Congratulations to BMG on a superb reproduction of Slade’s No:1 album. At their height Slade were unstoppable and this album demonstrates the bands studio career up to mid 1973 perfectly. A mixture of big hits coupled with the early misses makes this a must have collection for any discerning Slade fan. The quality of this splatter edition looks great and sounds even better.

great package
well, the music is the music isn't it? The songs don't sound to me like they've been remastered, and I had to crank up the volume [I'd be doing that anyway lol] to get the punch out of this CD. The package [mediabook] is nice, some good photos etc. If you've got an earlier version of this I wouldn't bother getting this as there really isn't much of a sound upgrade.
