How do you get the stick to stay up? I lean on mine and it goes shorter

I found the same problem on the first day I bought even after doing the twist lock process. Answer :- I reccomend Rubber band or a jubilee clip to stop the pole slipping into a shorter length :)

How do you but just the stick & mop head on their own as mines broken?
