It is a heavy pan. I do not know for sure if it cast aluminum, it does bake very evenly.

I measured it as accurately as possible and found it to be (approx) 10-1/2 inches diameter and 4-4 1/2 inches in height. I would say that is the standard size for bundt cake pans. It is heavier (thicker) than some I have used and performs well.
