Low Acidity and Flavor is Not Too Strong
LOVE this decaf, whole bean coffee! I've tried so many others and tend to favor lighter beans to avoid the strong flavor, but No Fun Jo does it for me. ๐ With other coffees I had to add a pinch of salt to cut the acidity but not with No Fun Jo, and I have it on a biweekly delivery. Woot! Woot!

I like it for what it is. Here are some detailed impressions...
This arrived in the mail today! I was out of my evening decade beans and actually drove to a few local roasters to buy some. They were ALL out. So, took advantage of Prime here on Amazon and ordered this No Fun Jo. Here are a few impressions:- The cupping notes in the description are fairly accurate. It does have a blueberry nuance with a sweetness that could be described as chocolate. Maybe a cheap ice-cream syrup type of chocolate. The description says it is "complex" which to me basically means "it is hard to distinguish the exact flavor." In the end, the coffee is not smooth but has a pleasant sweet acidity in the finish.- The beans are medium dark and oily- My package came fresh. The coffee bloomed like crazy. Unfortanteky, the company is not as animate about freshly roasted coffee as they might lead you to believe because the package had a "sell-by" date on the bag that was 12 months out. So in the end, I would call it typical grocery store coffee with some clever marketing.I like it, but I find something to like about most every coffee. Though each cup will be enjoyed, I will not be purchasing these beans again. There are plenty of decaf beans out there that hopefully won't be so elusive next time I run out. Enjoy your coffee!

Mama wants coffee...
I stopped drinking coffee when I became pregnant and was doing fine until about 2 weeks ago when an insatiable craving for coffee overwhelmed me. I'm 6 months pregnant and haven't had caffeine in months and didn't want to start drinking regular caffeinated coffee now, but this craving.... it wasn't going to go away. I've heard so many negative things about decaf being not good for you, so I figured there HAS to be some kind of non-toxic decaf out there somewhere that also happens to taste decent. I found No Fun Jo Decaf on Amazon and the ratings were great. It's organic, Swiss water processed, and Fair Trade certified, so I decided to try it. I got the whole beans and shipping was super fast with my Prime. It came. I grinded. I brewed. I sipped. Oh... my... gosh. Yes! I love it! When my cravings first hit me, I took a trip down the road to a major chain coffee shop and got a tall decaf.... it didn't quite do it for me. That first sip just wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. So disappointed. Then No Fun Decaf Jo came into my life. My insatiable craving was satiated, and all was right with the world again. I'll be drinking this throughout my pregnancy and while I'm nursing, so this will be brewing at my house for the next couple years. Then I'll be trying out their caffeinated beans, which also have great reviews on here. Thanks Jo! You made this pregnant lady very happy! =0D

This Ain't No Five Star Coffee
So with all those five-star reviews, one would think... But NO. It's not the real deal. Yes, it's organic, it's arabica, it's decaf, and it has fruity notes. All true and good. It is also very medium roast (not medium-dark) and it makes a very weak cup of Jo. Did I say weak...? Think about 1.5 times the normal amount of grinds you usually use to get a decent body cup. Between the starting price and the need to use extra, you are paying well over 20 buckaroos a pound for this stuff and honestly, it's just okay. There are some others out there for $7 for 12oz and they too are Swiss Water Decaf items. Don't let the stars fool you. This very experienced, non-snob, coffee drinker says three stars and that's all it deserves. Honestly.
