Thor [DVD]

Yeah,a pretty damn good film.Chris Hemsworth really does the part justice.I couldn't believe his physique ! The scene where he falls to earth and tries to retrieve his hammer is very impressive.This film seems well researched and follows the Myth closely but with a modern interpretation. Anthony Hopkins does a brilliant job of being a powerful God of a Father.The arrogance of the early Thor is good to see,especially when he uses his hammer to propell him right throught and out the back of a giant creature's throat.I was cheering him on ! The FX were very good and definitely heightened my enjoyment of the film.The involvement of Shield was unexpected too but nicely done with great humour.At the end of the credits there is an intriguing twist regarding the Professor.The sound the hammer makes when bashing opponents is very erm,striking... Almost 2 hours of good fantasy entertainment,I wanted more of course.

I loooooooooove Chris hemsworth. This was the first marvel film I ever saw and when my mum bought it me for Christmas I watch it on repeat the following day. It's a great film and anyone into marvel or DC comics will love it. There's great acting and a very interesting and gripping plot. I couldn't wait for the second movie and went to see it as soon as it came out. Well wort the buy. I love it

2nd dvd as first had problems with the in film subtitles. this one is a little better as those subtitles are now in English but we still cant get them onto the screen no matter what adjustments we make. but, having said that, its a very good film so we are keeping this copy otherwise we would be sending them back over and over again and honestly we cant be bothered

When I first watched Thor I was not amazed. I thought it was a pretty good film, but not as strong as other Marvel films. However after watching it again, I appreciate what a brilliant movie this really is. Their is a good plot, loads of action, lots of humour and lots of suspence. This film is exactly how Thor should be done; on the big screen. I love this film, I would give it an 8 out of 10. A must buy for all Marvel fans.

I've just started collecting all the films in this series. I didn't mind waiting a year or two for them to hit the remainders so I could pick them up at a price that suited me more, and now I'm going to pig out on the lot! So far the Thor movies are the best, although they're all examples of a highly polished product, collectively and individually.

A bit weird, the setting and costumes, but a great yarn with the father-son squabbles between Odin and Thor, and Loki turning on the others on the revelation that he was adopted. A wedding of the realistic with the fabulous that Kenneth Branagh seems to have pulled off masterfully... Leaving me looking forward to the sequel. Great acting by Anthony Hopkins as the Allfather, 'Old One-eye' with his ravens Huginn and Muninn

Certainly not a disappointment. Fantastically shot, brilliantly acted, can't find anything to fault. I've no doubt there are experts out there who may disagree but I love it & thoroughly enjoy it every time it's played. From a female point of view Chris Hemsworth is perfect as Thor but for some reason I keep finding myself drawn to Loki, excellently played by Tom Hiddleston. Roll on the release of 'The Dark World' on DVD.

I purchased a physical copy of this movie in the US as a gift. The person I bought it for recently opened it, tried to play it, and found that it was region locked to a region outside the US. It says: "Warning, playback is not authorized in your region." Amazon clearly knows that I am in the US, and sold me a movie that will not play in my region. It's past the return time as well, so I cannot return it. Watch out for them selling movies to you outside your region as they will not work.

got movie and found that our dvd player cannot read the disc due to programing in UK is different then usa. tried other family dvd players and get error message stating program is not playable in your device... need to return

The DVD had NO movie on it.

Kept saying bad disc.
