Does the growers use the methods of mulesing, which is the removal of skin from the sheep's buttocks?

No, the socks are wool. Sheep grow wool like people grow hair, it needs to be cut to keep them healthy....farmers and ranchers don't cut the sheep's buttocks , or they wouldn't keep growing healthy wool. Wondering where on earth people get these crazy hairbrained ideas? What happened to common sense? 🙄

Where are these made?

100 percent merino wool it says on tag inside garment.They are made in China.

Are they true to size? my boyfriend is a 32" waist and i'm on the fence between a m and l. he typically wears l in boxer briefs.

All base layer garments are trim fitting. I am a fairly typical 32 waist and they stretch to fit me just fine. If he is on the bigger side of what would be considered medium, then I would suggest large.
