pliers have good grip and durable build. feel sturdy and not weak.

I would highly suggest these vice grips, they are very well-made and feature a rubber grip on the quick release, my only complaint compared to the higher dollar brands is the adjustable bolt is not cut for a screwdriver for extra clamping power like higher end versions. You could always make your own with a different bolt or cut a slit in the bolt head for a flathead screwdriver bit to fit in.
