"If u can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough"--- made ridiculously simple series of books have mastered this. Just buy it!

A Biostatistics Book with Layperson Language
A book for an undergraduate-level course (Epidemiology & Biostatistics). The explanation is very easy to follow and understand. You can finish reading it within 1-2 weeks.

Back to basics
Nice book for basic reference and get an idea of statistics concepts. They manage to explain complex things in an easy way. The quality of the paper it's not so good, that's why I don't give it 5 stars.
