Excellent product good quality

Very good player/recorder, microphone is good quality, speaker is a tad on the tinny side but not too tinny where it's unbearable it has a good amount of bass on it to listen to your tapes. Makes good music recordings if you can switch to mono on a device like a tv and a few inches away from speaker and volume not turned up too much or otherwise it can result in distorting the recording. Only had one incident of a tape being eaten but diddn't happen again, so far so good, could of been that the tape had some slack on it and I haddn't realized. Radio is good. Have used this player on the bus before now. I would highly recomend you buy this if your on a low budget and you need a decent portable player/recorder. Takes 2 aa batteries and can also be powerd by usb which is also good. Had it a few months now and it has been a good player. I'm happy with my purchase.

The Groove-e portable Retro cassette player and recorder is pretty good , it sounds okay ,but I had to use my one sony earphones, as the ones supplied were a little dull, the radio is good but found it pretty difficult to tune in to a radio station , but once there the sound was good, but the the equipment is not as good as my old AIWA , but there again very good for the price. At lease I can listen all my old cassette.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. you will only end up returning it, binning it or throwing it to one side, never to use again. I opened my package and put in a cassette tape. I pressed the rewind button and waited about 10minutes for it to fully rewind (incase you don't realise... 10 minutes is very long time). Eventually I stopped at the start and I pressed play... I couldn't hear much, so I turned the volume to the max and it wasn't much better. Then I heard a song I've never heard before, it was awful and then realised that it was playing at a very slow speed and was very distorted. I tried another tape to make sure it wasn't the cassettte I was listening to and the same thing happened. I then tried it's radio option and every single station that it picked up (and there wasn't many) was the same station?? So it's a complete failure. But if that wasn't enough to put you off (then you're insane!!!) The design looks and feels bulky. It looks as though if you catch it you will constantly accidentally open it as it doesn't lock. Finally the little hatch for the batteries is fidgety and it's hard to close it once you've put the batteries in. There might be more issues, but I would t know as I only had it out of the box for about 20 minutes (10 of that was rewinding the tape!!) before I requested a refund.

Reliable and cheap. I carry it everywhere and it consistently works. The only issue I have had is that the capstans do t take much resistance to stop turning so some tapes won’t play however it isn’t a common issue and changing the shell of the tape usually fixes it (most of my tales have sat in a garage for secession in poor storage so it’s probably just my issue). Also this is a feature not a bug so that the tape isn’t broken when it reaches the end. Microphone picks up noise of machine itself due to being embedded and I would’ve like a slot to plug in another but not a big deal. Other reviews have said that the recording button doesn’t work however I suspect it’s a user error. Tapes have anti recording protection to stop someone accidentally deleting their music. The recording button can’t be pressed unless the holes are taped over (there is a lever underneath that detects it) and the recording button can’t be pressed if the level is not pressed. Overall very pleased and well worth the money if planning to listen with headphones or a speaker (inbuilt speaker is low quality). Reliable device that I use all the time. I recommend, it's do what should do and seems to be a good option compared with similars on sale. But made with miserable plastic, if you drop it will smash. The speaker tiny and has a bad quality as I expected. The earbuds is to throw away of course, but I tested and it's sounds pretty good with a good earplugs. Not sure about the tape player, didn't test it yet.

Er nimmt UKW-Radio-Sendungen in Sprache sehr deutlich und in Musik recht ordentlich auf. Die Wiedergabe ist etwa 1:1. entsprechend dem kleinen eingebautem Lautsprecher. Die Musik-Aufnahmen auf Kassette klingen mit Ohrhörer deutlich besser, desgleichen bei Abspielen auf größeren Musikanlagen. Da das Gerät keine ausziehbare Antennte hat, ist zu beachten, wenn man die Aufnahme am Lautsprecher mithören möchte, dass der Stecker des Ohrhörerkabels nur etwa einige Millimeter eingesteckt ist. Ich verwende das Gerät auch zum Hören von fremdsprachlichen Kassetten ohne Ohrhörer.

I purchased this item for a 90 year old gentleman who has been unable to buy one. He is very happy with it. Playing his old tapes is passing the time when we can’t go anywhere. I thought I was lucky when I googled this item and I had an Account with you. Your service is great. Thank you.

the cassette player is a special treat, its throwback look and easy use is one of the many perks of this item, I recommend using 60 minute tape, any tape will due(high quality) and your set and if theirs no access to a cassette tape its awesome radio function allows you to listen to your favourite stations where ever or when ever.
