We had to order this for my yorkie. We have a new big puppy and they are fighting for their spot on the pack. The puppy is a pit mix that is growing fast, and the yorkie doesn’t understand that she has no chance with her. So, we ordered this not because she could make any damage in the pit, but because she tries and make the pit scared and bite her. This is the most friendly muzzle that we find. She can eat and drink and breath easily and normally. Easy to clean. Very lightweight. And soft material. I mean she is not the happiest dog on earth with it on, but she is not uncomfortable. And it’s just meanwhile we train them. So, yes… recommended.

I think this muzzle is better than the nylon adjustable muzzles. My vet was able to administer one of his vaccines while the muzzle was in place. The only problem I have is the sizing. Both my dogs measured for the medium size. Since part of the muzzle is longer it makes for difficult sizing. This muzzle fit both my dogs but it did come close to under their eyes. I would have to try a larger size but I think it might be too large in circumference. I only use a muzzle for their vet visits, I wouldn't keep this on longer than a vet appointment. During their appointment, they could not remove the muzzle. With the nylon adjustable muzzles, they could always remove them.

Our 15 year-old yorkie has a bad habit of sneaking snacks of acorns when he goes out if you don’t watch him like a hawk. He is an acorn addict. He then, of course, has vomiting and diarrhea. One day my wife was totally frustrated after the latest bout. She commented once again that she wished there was a way to keep from eating the acorns. (He would even sneak them in the house and hide them for a little something to get him through.) I thought about our neighbors getting a shock collar for their juvenile delinquent dog, but I knew that wouldn’t work because he waits until we’re not looking. Then I thought about a muzzle. Looked on Amazon and found this one. Thought we would try it. Wow! Wish we could have thought of this years ago. It is soft enough to be comfortable, but sturdy enough that he can’t get it off by himself. It gives plenty of air circulation and let’s him sniff, but keeps him from eating the acorns. He’s not happy and tried to get it off at first, but he is on the road to acceptance and recovery now.

This muzzle has been a great tool for safety and peace of mind. The basket design allows my dog to breathe comfortably, pant, and even drink water, which was very important to me. The fit is secure without being too tight, and the material feels sturdy yet comfortable. It does its job well in preventing biting while still allowing natural movement.
