Really enjoyable low angst read
I really enjoy this authors writing style and the stories are always interesting with great characters a good storyline some drama and lots of love and affection, and this book is no different.Red is a newly out firefighter who has never dated men before. His luck changes when he rescues a man from a fire ridden building and ends up at his doorstep after answering Red's ad for a roommate. RecommendedAndy lost everything in the fire but is glad to be alive. He wants to thank the firefighter who saved him and is unaware that the same firefighter is the one advertising for a roommate.Sparks fly but neither man is brave enough to admit to the attraction that is forming between them. Both men are perfect for each other, now they have to realise it themselves.Recommended.

Andy falling madly in love with his guinea pig
One of the main characters is a firefighter... what more could you want? This was a really cute story idea with Andy using Red as his guinea pig to see how his new app worked in the real world. What could really go wrong with that plan? Oh yeah, Andy falling madly in love with his guinea pig. It was a great read.

An Ok Read
I have a couple of Sean's books in my digital library at the moment. I find his writing refreshing. This story in particular however, is not going to go down as one of my favorites in the MM category. Thereason being, i couldn't feel the connection between the two characters. They were just two people who lived together. There was no exclusive passion. It took me longer than usual to finish this story because i kept waiting for the moment that special connection would take place and it never happened. Since it was Red's first time for everything and the same in a way for Andy, i was expecting more passion, more sizzle. Their connection was bland and ordinary so i couldn't connect with them. Aside from the passion being missing, the overall story was ok. Red was sweet and loveable. I didn't really get Andy. I will still continue to read Sean's stories because like i said in the beginning his writing is refreshing. I just wished this story produced more excitement.

Another wonderful story from Sean Ashcroft!!
This is a very sweet story.Andy is saved from a fire by Red, a firefighter who recently had come out and hasn't had a boyfriend at the age of twenty-three. Andy needs a place to stay and Red needs a room, so Andy moves in. They quickly become friends, because Red gets Andy's sarcasm and Andy thinking that Red is the sweetest man he's ever met. And because Red saved his life, Andy feels as though he owes Red, although Red doesn't see it that way. Andy is an app developer who gets lost in his work and is although he makes excuses that his relationships have failed because he's too busy, being with Red makes him realize that working is a choice and so is giving his attention to his romantic interests. But Red wants a boyfriend and feeling that his app can help Red and believing this is the perfect way to pay Red back for saving him, Andy keeps pushing him into dating men he matches with on his app, all the while devastated that his app says he and Red have zero capability. When he sees his ex, Andy kisses Red and that one kiss changes their relationship. I loved this story; how Andy's self-image changed because of Red and realizations that he's not the jerk he thought he was and Red becoming the sweetest boyfriend to Andy and how supportive Andy became of his dream of going back to school and supporting him in his career as a firefighter.

Cute but not riveting
This was cute, but lacked a lot of the suspenseful tension I think make romance novels worth reading. The writing is good, it's just kind of meh in terms of the romantic plot. The characters are likable and there is some struggle between them, but it's not enough of a struggle to keep me all that interested. I finished the book because like I said, the characters are likable, but there's just not a lot here to keep you riveted. I read this on a Sunday on my couch with a cup of coffee, and I wasn't mad about it, but it didn't inspire that "happy they finally got together" feeling that I enjoy about romance novels. If you have unlimited, I don't not recommend that you read it; but if you have to buy it... I would probably just pass, unless you're looking for something that's not all that complicated and isn't going to play with your emotions..in which case this is the book for you. And hey sometimes that's the perfect Sunday morning read :D::My star rating1-Garbage2-Didn't like it3-Good Book4-Wouldn't return it, worth it, re-readable, and might actually buy a hard copy and put it on my shelf5-Phenomenal, glorious, the writing gods smile upon this one and I own the physical copy

Clearly one of the best books I've read in a long time
Standing ovation!!!!I've had a thing for firefighters for who knows how long. When I was offered the chance to review Red Hot I jumped at it.Red (we learn his real name later in the book) is an amazing character, everything you would expect from a firefighter. Dedicated, competent, caring, kind, brave and self-less. Even a little dorky. You can't help but fall in love with him. The gorgeous cover model fits the mental image of Red I had in my head as I read (and re-read) the book.Andy, the lovable computer nerd who is rescued, then taken in by Red, is a real trip. I found some of his antics amusing. He complements Red perfectly. Both characters are solid, well-written and easy to relate to. Red and Andy are great together, once they realize what they were looking for was right under their noses. The story moves along at a steady pace, not too fast nor too slow. It definitely holds the reader's interest. It's really easy to envision yourself in the story as one of the main characters.I sincerely hope to read more of Red's adventures as a firefighter and Andy's branching out to other interesting projects, perhaps even more on M4M.I wish I could give Red Hot more than 5 stars, but It's the highest I can go. One thing I can do is issue a challenge:I challenge everyone to read Red Hot and NOT like it. I don't think it's possible.Well done, Sean. Very well done indeed.I was provided a copy of Red Hot free of charge in exchange for a fair and honest review.
