I am looking for a grease for my slider pins which does not swell rubber and has a high melting point. Has this a high melting point?.

HiNo spec about melting point, but its stated: Premium automotive grease for hydraulic systems, especially brake systems... Brake caliber pistons, slides etc. I purchased the grease for the same reason as you.BRBrian

Can this be used for car calliper pins?

Anywhere there's rubber,car driveshaft gaitors, BRAKE RUBBERS M.Cycle rubbers on CALIPERS. both SIDES, inside and out to stop water PENETRATING.ONLY FOR RUBBER, NOTHING ELSE!. FOR CALIPER PINS/MOVING PARTS (BUT NOWHERE NEAR DRUMS/DISCS) USE A SMIDGEN OF COPPER GREASE OR NORMAL YELLOW GREASE, AGAIN GET IT NOWHERE NEAR SHOES/PADS/DRUMS/DISCS. COZ YOU WON'T STOP AS QUICKLY. ALSO MAKES IT EASY TO REMOVE PARTS NEXT TIME. USE SPARINGLY!! TTFN. 😁

Is this silicone based?

I've just checked on the tin and it doesn't mention anything about being silicone based. However it does say that it's suitable for applications where the grease comes into contact with rubber seals etc., this is why I bought it. I have been using it as a silicone type grease and had no problems, it doesn't tend to effect rubbers.

Does this come with an applicator similar to that found with the likes of 3M Silicone paste?
