Liqui Moly Hydro Valve Additive, 300 ml

Vortec 6L V8 lifters started to make some noise especially during cold mornings and it was getting louder and louder fast. Tried to flush the engine twice but no help although engine got bit smoother. Throwed this in between the oil change and the noise completely disappeared fairly quickly. Now even that the truck is sitting 3 weeks in a weather between 0 to -15 in C (32 to 5 in F) there’s absolutely no noise in cold start while the engine is warming up. I’d still recommend the engine flush or several of them as the noise is usually about the poor oil flow (dirt all over the place) and dirty & sticky lifter rods. If this does not help, manually clean the rods and inspect the rockers. Bit time consuming but fairly simple job, tons of YouTube videos available for sure. Act fast as more noise more damage eventually. Also understand what you’ll be doing. My V8 is a 2003 engine that is a) in a good shape (piston pressures solid 13 bar) and b) the engine does not have anything fancy in it – just simple V8 (no variable this and that, no eco throttle pistons to save fuel etc.). As the magic of these is the change the oil structure from viscosity point of view you can actually do more harm than good with your engine especially with the newer ones.

I don't know what's in this but it worked straight away with the noise from my tappets. The garage wanted £500 to repair it. Easy to use just pour it in the same place as your oil.

Sibop tıklıyordu biraz hafifledi. Daha 500 km olmadığından şimdilik tam not veremiyorum. İlerleyen kilometrelerde daha da iyileşebilir ümidindeyim.

Verwende das LM Hydro-Stößel Additiv schon seit vielen vielen Jahren. Vor allem bei meinen Mercedes Benz Fahrzeugen. Da habe ich welche aus den 80er und 90ern sowie 2000ern. Ab einer gewissen Laufleistung hört man die Hydros klappern. Da die Autos aber nur sehr wenig gefahren werden gehe ich nicht her und tausche überall die Hydros. Vor allem bei den V8 wäre das ein Teurer Spaß. Da habe ich das Additiv entdeckt und war erst skeptisch. Doch es hat meinen W201 2.6 sofort geholfen und das Klappern war nach wenigen Kilometern Geschichte. Zuletzt habe ich es in einem W210 430er mit über 300.000 Km Laufleistung verwendet. Zwei Flaschen rein und vom Motor kam kein Geklapper mehr. Läuft jetzt wieder schön weich und ruhig. Habe es auch in unserem Nissan Micra kürzlich reingeschüttet weil der mit 130.000 auch langsam anfing zu klappern. Auch da ist jetzt wieder Ruhe. Einfach bei jedem Ölwechsel mit rein und man hat seine Ruhe. PS: Natürlich kann das nicht helfen wenn die Hydros schon komplett hinüber sind. Aber im Anfangsstadium wenn sie das klappern anfangen hilft es meiner Meinung nach sehr gut.
