Totally addicted.
I love these. I'm a big fan of shirataki pasta/rice in general, but so far this shape is my favourite. Yes, they're completely tasteless on their own - you're not supposed to eat them that way! Rinsed *thoroughly* (to get rid of the odd smell) and cooked in a nice spicy pasta sauce these are brilliant in my opinion, and you save hundreds of calories as opposed to eating regular pasta. I also have celiac disease which means I can't actually eat regular wheat pasta, and while this is still a lot more expensive than "normal" corn/rice based gluten free pastas, I think the fact that they're practically calorie free is worth it.I remember the first time I had some shirataki noodles a few years ago, the texture seemed a little weird at first, but I certainly didn't think they were disgusting. I think it helps that I cook them thoroughly, letting them soak in the flavours of whatever spicy sauce I'm using. Also, dry frying them first before adding the sauce might help. Anyway, as long as you don't expect these to be exactly like the pasta you normally eat, and you rinse them well and add a nice spicy sauce, these are fabulous. For those who don't like these, but would still like to have some low cal/healthy "pasta" - try "zoodles", aka zucchini/courgette noodles. They're another favourite of mine, and courgettes are actually very cheap and nutritious!

Awesome
These are made of mayu root. I had tried the noodles (awesome), the rice (more like.. something like rice) and anther brand of noodles. They are close to 0 calorie s it's great for the dukan diet or any other low carb diet. They look and feel like calamari strips. However they have no taste. I used a low salt no sugar salsa I boiled up earlier as pasta sauce, and pieces of lean meat. They become an awesome way to complete your meal then. They fill you up too.Remember to dump the contents in a sieve/colander and hold it under hot running water for a few minutes to wash off the eggy, fishy smelling reserving liquid. You will like the noodles more than the past or rice products.

Helped me stick to my diet
OK, listen everyone: I love pasta. Nay, I adore pasta! If I could, I would marry pasta and run off to the sunset. Which is pretty much what got me in the position of having to diet to lose weight. I went on a low-carb diet and I saw immediate results, for which I'm quite happy. However, even though the chocolate and sugar cravings went away after the first week, I craved pasta every day. Heck, I dreamt I was eating pasta! Enter, this product.First things first, of course this is not pasta. It's something that looks a lot like it, but it doesn't have a taste on its own and the texture is different and quite odd to be honest. But, if cooked properly, according to the instructions on the pack, and with a lot of nice, homemade sauce, vegetables and some lean protein, they become a lovely addition to a healthy, low-carb meal. They definitely make me feel full and I believe that to an extent they trick my brain into thinking I had carbs, if that makes sense. You need to get used to the texture, at first it is very odd. They are somewhat chewy, but the absorb the taste of the rest of the dish, which makes them altogether pleasant. Don't try the penne version, it's horrific! That's because penne are essentially a thick piece of shirataki cut in penne shape, and the thicker the shirataki, the more chewy it is. But fettuccine and spaghetti are thin, minimising the odd texture. The other thing is, they are very expensive indeed. All in all, I personally feel that they are an invaluable aid to my diet so I am sticking to them. They are not for everyone. And they do need proper preparation and a good, tasty sauce. I've grown to love them and I'm sure they can potentially help other people like me with their effort to lose weight.

Much better than I expected
I've just gone on a strict Keto diet in order to lose some fat quickly before an operation. As always with these items with unbelievable write-ups I ordered with a little trepidation and a dose of cynicism, expecting to be let down by my purchase. Well surprise, surprise these were damned good and better than I could have expected. As others have said the initial smell of the noodles can be a bit off putting but after a rinse the smell disappeared and they warmed up lovely. I was having a homemade curry (yes I know noodles don't go with an Indian curry) and they tasted great. Will be buying more, and highly recommend for anybody that is on a Low Carb diet

It's nasty keep looking.
Seriously, please listen to me when I say this. This is not what you're looking for.I assume you're either on Keto or VLCD...don't bother with this stuff, there's better out there. The smell does not wash out, at least not entirely, I rinsed it for a good 30 MINUTES and the smell still lingered, even after I microwaved it for 1 minute as it says on the box it still smelled pretty nasty.I mixed it with sauces and meats and although it DID cover the smell....it didn't improve the texture which I can only compare with...bogies.....it's VERY slimey and gelatinous, maybe because of the minute in the microwave, perhaps a pan dry fry would improve it but I highly doubt it. Keep looking, you'll find one.Just a recommendation from one internet person to another, if you are carb concious but still like pasta, have a wee search for 'Nomad Health Paleo Sesame Fusilli Pasta' its fusilli but it's MILES, UNIVERSES even, better than this garbage. Good luck buddy :D

One of my favourite alternatives!
I’ve read so many reviews of people complaining that this product isn’t like pasta due to smell, texture, etc. And they’re right. Because it isn’t pasta! After reading reviews before purchasing, I expected to have something that would be different. Of the slim range, the fettuccine variety is perhaps my favourite one!Give it a good rinse, cook it with the desired sauce, and enjoy!Really helped me with my weight loss, I intend on continuing using this product as a regular replacement of pasta to help maintain my weight. Even my young son enjoys this product (when he’s lucky enough for me to share with him 😂)

Konjac is kinda special, you have to know what you are getting into
Konjac smells like fish when you open the water pasta package, rinse them out for a few seconds/minutes. They do not retain the smell post cooking!Cook them for 2-3min so they get a bit dry and then add a sauce or pesto (i prefer pesto) .They are tasteless and the texture is like gum but they are amazing when you want to cut calories and add them as a side to your meal.As a bodybuilder, those are a lifesaver during cut phases. Make some minced turkey meat add then add the pesto konjac spaghetti and you are ready to go.

Per me ampiamente promosso!!
