Revlon One-Step Volumiser original RVDR5222

I have bought so many hair appliances over the years and they all promise a lot and often fail to deliver so, although this sounded amazing, I approached it with some scepticism. I was delighted that my doubts were unfounded as I found this a real game changer which has made hair drying and styling far less stressful and time consuming. Previous to this, I used a Babyliss Big Hair Rotating Hair Brush, or as I call it the twirly whirly brush (TWB)! This has some major flaws including that it doesn’t have much drying power so I had to dry my hair about 70% dry with a hair dryer and finish with the TWB. I also found that, as my hair is quite thick, if I took too much hair at a time it would knot up and I would end up losing hair as I untangled it from the TWB. The Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumiser is the complete opposite to the TWB. I have had it for a month now and I am still amazed at how quick it dries my hair and how easy it is to use. I wash and towel dry my hair and have no need to use a hairdryer to get my hair mostly dry as this is surprisingly powerful. I like to get some volume near the roots and then I flick the ends out and this works perfectly for both. My hair is prone to frizziness and using this, with the help of anti frizz products sorts that problem out. All I use a hairdryer for now is drying my fringe as the Revlon brush is too big to get this how I want it. Apart from that one tiny thing, I am super impressed by this and would definitely recommend it.

My hair’s a bit of a nightmare, it’s quite thick and a little bit wavy and when left to it’s own devices it dries into a frizzy mess. I find using a hairdryer and straighteners hard work so a lot of the time I just dry it and tie it up, this brush takes out the hassle and gives me sleek straight hair with minimal effort and I find myself looking forward to using it. I let my hair air dry for about an hour after washing it, blast it with a hair dryer for 5 minutes to take out some of the dampness, then sit in a comfy chair in my lounge and use this brush. I don’t use a mirror and even without seeing what I’m doing, it always ends up looking decent and pretty straight, it isn’t perfect, but it’s such a huge difference from when I use a hairdryer, it looks so much better. The only negative about this brush is that the handle is quite thick so it can get a bit uncomfortable to hold, but I still give it 5 stars as I do find it nice to use and especially so in the winter, the warmth from it feels comforting somehow and it feels nicer to use than a hairdryer. I love that I can use it one handed and I get great results with hardly any effort. Definitely recommend 🙂❤️

The only hair dryer I use has held up really well for 2 years, no issues, still works like it did the day I got it. It gives a slight curl at the end of shoulder-length hair, and the different heat levels are good. dries afro hair really quickly and gives a nice smooth shine.

This is the second of these hairdryers I’ve purchased. Realistically they’ll last around 18-24 months I’ve found, before overheating and shorting during use. For the price point when they’re on offer I don’t have an issue replacing them - excellent value when on offer. Love this as a hairdryer - as someone who found juggling a brush and a standard dryer in separate hands a challenge, I tended to blast my hair dry with hairdryer then section it and straighten it, which was time consuming and a lot of heat on my hair. This dryer has cut my drying and styling time significantly and my 12yo daughter uses it as well and she finds it easy to use. Would be good if the cooler temp was a bit cooler, not a massive difference between the first heat setting and ‘cool’ and the high heat setting is HIGH! Friends have said they find it noisy but not compared to my GHD traditional hairdrier. I do like that it can smooth, achieve volume and add a bend to me hair as required, works well with a blow drier spray too as best way to use this drier is not on soaking wet hair - it needs a good towel dry first and allowed to either air dry a little (to maybe 50% dry?) or a blast with a regular drier - I’ve used it on loosely towel dried hair and as I have a lot of hair it did feel like it took a longer time and the drier did get hot. Overall thumbs up, value for money when on offer around £35.

Good quality for a long and short hair, good airflow and heat level. You can style some nice curls and volume. Good price.

[I have thick long hair that takes a while to dry] From my experience using this nearly a year now, it's definitely a good buy when you're used to having frizzy untamed hair with the hairdryer, it really does make it shine with no frizz! However, anyone telling you it's quick and easy..? No It takes technique - clipping your hair up in sections and going over each part properly etc and to use it you got to make sure your hair is 80% dry? else it will just look gross. Also find the heat from this thing is pretty intense and does pull a few hairs out.. despite the fact it does come with other temp settings, it's a real learning experience to use this. The handle is a bit cumbersome for my liking and honestly a bit heavy so accessing the buttons can be a bit tricky. Also it's quite noisy.. But overall I would recommend, I use it once in a while and usually like the result it gives.

Ich habe den Revlon Salon One-Step Volumizer (RVDR5222) gekauft und bin absolut begeistert. Dies war meine erste Lieferung hier in Deutschland und das Gerät hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Ich habe sehr langes Haar und hatte Sorge wegen Hitzeschäden – besonders, da das Wasser in Deutschland ziemlich hart ist. Doch dieser Föhn- und Styler-Kombi ist sanft zu meinem Haar und verleiht ihm gleichzeitig einen glatten, gepflegten Look. Die IONIC-TECHNOLOGIE und die Keramik-Turmalin-Beschichtung machen wirklich einen Unterschied – mein Haar fühlt sich weich, glänzend und überhaupt nicht kraus an. Es trocknet und stylt in einem Schritt, was mir viel Zeit spart. Ich bin neu in Deutschland, aber dieses Gerät hat meine Haarpflege-Routine deutlich erleichtert. Ich kann es besonders für mittellanges bis langes Haar wärmstens empfehlen, wenn man Volumen ohne Haarschäden möchte.

Best purchase!! It made blow drying so easy and fast

This product took 24 days to arrive, and when it did, I can't use it. There is absolutely no mention anywhere on the product page that this product is the American version, but it was sent from Texas, and has an American plug on it which is not useable here. I don't even think it can take European power, because the manual makes absolutely no mention of anything power related, and the transformer plug also doesn't seem to have any power information on it. So basically I paid €106 for a product that took almost a month to get here, and I can't use.
