Thomas the Tank Engine's Big Lift-And-look Book (Thomas & Friends)

A friend bought this and one other Thomas flap book for my 2 boys when they were 3. They loved this book and read it over and over - with me and by themselves. The pages inside are the same style as the front cover. The colors are great and there are interesting pictures behind the flaps. I enjoyed interacting with the kids and exploring the book with them. There are letters and numbers to learn or a child can just enjoy the pictures. The flaps are acceptably durable - my kids weren't rough with books but they took this one with them everywhere so the book got a lot of use and we never lost a flap. We didn't have any problems with the binding either. Quality product. Great fun!

I bought this as a birthday gift for my 4-year old niece, who absolutely LOVES Thomas; both she and her younger sister (2 years old) can name each and every engine, including their colors and numbers. In fact, just as Thomas appeals to a wide range of ages, so does this book: my younger niece enjoyed just lifting the flaps and looking at the pictures, while my older niece could actually engage in the educational activites (e.g., counting the number of items, finding things that are big, etc.). There are MANY flaps on each page, and they hold up well to repeated openings of little hands. If you have any children in your life who are fans of Thomas, trust me, they will LOVE this book.

My son loves this book and I do too! There are many flaps per page and it hasn't bored my son yet. I'm not sure if my photo is clear enough but there are 11 flaps on the first page (the first photo). The second photo is the second page of the book, and each number on there has a flap. So there are many things to discover. A great book for kids!

I had this book many years ago when I had a family daycare. It was a favourite with the kids and we read it many, many times. I've just recently been buying it for the 1 1/2 and 2 year olds that I know and they have all seemed very taken with it. It's very sturdy with lots of flaps to keep them busy. I think it's a great value for the price. It seems that all children love trains!

Thomas the Tank Engine's Big Lift - And - Look Book My grandson loves Thomas everything, but this book, while it looks like he will like it has what I call a "Small" problem in that the pieces of cardboard that you lift to see what is hidden below are very small and I found those pieces difficult to open. They are difficult to locate also and I'm a grandma, not a 2 1/2 yr. old. I plan on putting scotch tape on each tab, folding over the tape so he can grab that and maybe even find them better. It's especially strange considering the title is "Thomas the Tank Engine's Big Lift - And - Look Book." "Big" Lift really doesn't apply to the lift part, but it is a larger sized book. Not thick, just a full sized book with a good cardboard cover. I would still buy this book knowing the problem in advance, but it helps to be aware. I really don't know why it was needed to make the little covers so small, children have varying levels of dexterity as do grandmas! ;-) Delivery was fast, packaging was perfect, no complaints there. I would order a similar item again.

I bought this a number of years ago for our oldest grandson, who thoroughly enjoyed going through all the flaps, over and over. The book is fairly sturdy, meaning the flaps are also fairly sturdy. I recently bought this book again for our newest grandson who instantly sat right down and started peeking through all of the flaps with glee. Youngsters who like trains truly enjoy this book!

This was a huge hit with our Thomas fan. We bought a couple of "lift the flap" books for a road trip we were planning, hoping they might keep him occupied for 5-10 minutes (a veritable lifetime in toddler years). This book kept him happy for an hour. AN HOUR of uninterrupted happy two-year-old. In the car. Strapped into a rear-facing car seat. No snacks, no screaming, no kicking the seat, just happily lifting the flaps and absorbing all the Thomas magic found within. He still loves this book, and while he's torn off several of the flaps, he does feel bad about it. He requests it often, and loves to see what treasures he can find in Sir "Poppemhap's" house, or in the suitcases on the platform. Best book purchase we've made this year :)

Our boys love this book! With the exception of a couple of the thinner flaps on the "Sir Topham Hat's house" page, the book has proved surprisingly durable over the years we have been using it. It is really open ended, too, so you can read it in creative ways. I am also planning to give it as a gift. I think it is good for train lovers ages 2-5.

Very good book, but falls a little short on value for money. Would have been ideal for 400

This is a brilliant book which I can't praise too highly. Full of interesting things to see behind the 60 opening flaps. The children loved.

Great book, all kinds of windows to open, keeps my Grandson busy for ages. Highly recommend

購入以来、毎日手に取ってはめくるを楽しみ、娘のお気に入りの一冊になりました。 自分で一か所破ってしまいましたが、それからは大事に丁寧に扱っているようです。大好きなトーマスで且つ、仕掛け絵本になっていてとても面白がっています。数字や色は日本語でもあやふやな時期なので、英語を理解しているかはわからないですが、英単語をそのうち発してくれたらいいなと親も英語で働きかけています。大きいので持ち運びに不便ですがそれでも持ってでかけるくらい大好きな洋書です。買って良かったです。

Viele Klappen und nette Reime. Unser Sohn (2,5) findet es klasse. Er wächst nicht zweisprachig auf aber um an die Sprache ein bisschen herangeführt zu werden, ist es ganz nett.
