This is a nice crystal. It has a rope instead of a chain which feels better on my neck and is long enough. The crystal itself is a nice size and is cut and polished nicely, it is pretty. The metal holding the crystal looks cheap but still looks good, it is the crystal that counts. I will be wearing it daily.

Sooo, my daughter is into rocks and geodes and more and more getting into rarer types of crystals and similar materials. She just picked up a chrysocolla recently that she totally loves.I was a bit iffy on this one -- as even the pics on the listing do not seem to convey the highest quality obsidian. Well, my suspicions proved correct.The touch feel and general appeal of the necklace material and accent bead far exceed the standard of the obsidian. It feels a little light and while I know obsidian is not meant to be shiny per se, this one feels very very dull. The silver cap is also kinda chintzy. Taken altogether, not sure this would be worth the money -- maybe better off going to a legit crystal store. My kid is happy enough to use this, but cant really get behind it being a worthy gift for an adult, let alone one who is very into crystals and semi precious gems and metals. Meh acceptable just ok.

My boyfriend likes jewelry but mostly these stones for "good wealth and fortune" or "healing and decision making".Overall for style 5 out of 5 but as for its effect or powers a 1 out of 5. Didn't seem to promote good or bad fortune.Pretty decent material the string is made from for continuous wear and doesn't get uncomfortable no matter what!

After doing research on obsidian and how to tell if it's real, I question the authenticity of this necklace. I even brought it to someone who knows about crystals and stones and they flat out told me it wasn't real obsidian. However, the main reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because it just looks and feels cheap and it's too long. If it was like a choker or adjustable it'd be better. I'd wear this as part of a witchy costume or some fantasy like costume.

This necklace is very nice the chain the material that holds it is very strong, thick, black material. It is easy to slip on. The crystal is a dark black and well shaped. You can wear it which multiple necklaces because the string is so long it will hang a little lower and you can either tuck it in your shirt when exercising or when busy or you can have it out and have layered necklaces.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out if this is real obsidian. I think it is (?) but it's cut so perfectly that it doesn't look natural. The metal connecting it to the ring could be improved, does look a bit cheap. I hung it over a plant instead of wearing it and it actually looks really nice there.
