Got this case for use in the cockpit and commuting. It is wildly durable, you’ll actually think you’re breaking it just getting the kickstand / handle out the first time. iPad fits in there snuggly, and after a year ish of use I have had no issues. Easy to use commuting on an airline flight as well, kickstand makes it so it just sits on the tray table.

This product took awhile to get here via shipping, but I really love the whole pivot case system. Even if you arent a pilot I would recommend the case system as it keeps the ipad safe and you can use a lot of accessories with it!

I’ve had other products that didn’t hold my iPad mini to the windshield. Not this one. It’s a beast. Worth every penny.

Works great

I don't usually write reviews, but I was really on the fence about this because I had an iPad mini 4 in a Pivot case and I almost didn't get a Pivot case for my new iPad mini 6 because of many mediocre-at-best reviews online. I'm glad I ordered one just to be sure, because now that I have it on my new iPad I'm quite happy with it. I gave it one less star for only one reason; the kick stand is a pain. I understand why there are a lot of complaints about it. I found that if I went from inside the cover and pushed it open with a small flat screwdriver at the latching points then exercised it open and shut a few times it was much easier to operate. Much better than the kickstand deploying when you don't want it to. Other than that, I believe it's a nice upgrade over the previous version, particularly I like not having to remove the cover to lock it into the aircraft. Also it is about the same size overall as the old case, not sure why anyone would call it bulky.

I bought this and the pivot short arm to fly a personal trip from Atlanta to Lake Tahoe and it worked perfectly. This hard case slides easily onto the pivot arm, fits securely, and rotates to where you want it during flight. The case is functional outside the cockpit too with a built-in back stand. This is one of those purchases I don’t just love, I’m proud of it. :)

I bout this for my son in pilot school. He loves it. I also bought the leg strap that it connects to. He doesn’t have to worry about it falling on the floor and having to recover it. That way he can keep his hand on the yoke (wheel). I expect it to last just as long as the iPad it is protecting. It is built with quality materials and works great.
