Works great, I have peace of mind!
This is going to be a bit long but should answer most questions about the device. I use this to track my autistic toddler son on the school bus and at school. I previously had just an apple airtag which for the price is a good back up which I still put in his bag but it updates about every 7-15 minutes on a moving bus which wasn't fast enough for me so I decided to get this. I use pinion pins to secure it in his pocket which have the same mechanism as those antitheft tags on clothes in stores, so only I can remove the pin with a magnetic tool It was between this one and angelsense because they both have an app that does the following: - route history - you can call the device (silently or with a ring, and with auto answer or press to answer.. Only numbers you enter in the address book can call it). The speaker on the device is LOUD so your child or somebody should be able to hear you even if they are feet away - it can call you (you enter a couple of numbers it calls in order of priority) - it has a geofence which sends you a notification when the tracker enters and leaves (useful if u want to know that they arrive and leave school on time) I ultimately chose seculife because they both offered the same features but: - the seculife monthly plan is way cheaper - the plan is no contract The realities of the device - it took about 24 hrs for the device to go online in the app.. I was able to call it right away but it wasn't showing location for 24 hrs. I drove around with it as instructed and it still took several more hrs to connect during which time I was considering returning it but thank God I didn't. - the tracking in a moving vehicle is not as smooth as in the Uber app, I have the 1 minute refresh interval plan where it updates location every minute, so you will see it hopping on the map every time it refreshes.. A 30 seconds plan is available but I don't think that's necessary for me - with the 1 minute plan the battery could last 2 days but it's advisable to charge it every day so u have enough power in case of an emergency.. If u set it to refresh less often the battery will last longer - just like a regular cellphone, it doesn't get good signal in some buildings. Inside my son's classroom has poor signal on both my phone and this device but I image this will be the case with any brand of tracker - the geofence is accurate to about a 100 meters I think.. So you CANNOT expect it to work like a nanny for you and let you know the minute your child steps out the door, etc

Great buy, very good customer support team
I had initial issue when I first wanted to activate the device so I called the customer support. I did not expect them to fix it immediately, but turned out they are reliable and quick to respond. The rest of the setup process was done relatively easy and I was still a little doubtful. Then we started using it the next day, found minor bug, but thanks to their support team again, it was resolved in no time. Just a suggestion because it is mainly for kids to wear, better not to provide a regular length lanyard but a shorter one (similar to wrist lanyard) and with mechanism like small clip or magnetic lock so it can be worn or put in kids' pocket. After day 3, I finally got the hang of using the device, checked all features, they worked out well and also learned how to manage the battery usage. I would recommend this for you especially parents to monitor and keep track of their kids' location because nowadays in this crazy world we just have to have that peace of mind.

WORST GPS SUBSCRIPTION
DO NOT BUY!!! The headache I have to go through for them to processing my refund for the GPS subscription is awful. First of all they didn’t even mention the GPS not working in all the US states. Brought the GPS and buy their subscription. Try to connect but nothing work. Contact their customer support line and find out it not working in my state. Send it back to Amazon and been waiting for 6 months with constantly emailing to ask when they processing the subscription refund but nothing is done. The only answer I received is they still not officially receiving the items after 6 months have passed. I figured I will never get that refund back. Such a waste of time because I really want to buy a GPS for my autism daughter just to keep her safe. This is really disappointing and discouraging me to try other GPS subscription. The subscription itself is over thousands.

This device really works.
I like that it was simple to set up. I also like that you can dial the number and connect with the kid on the other end. My daughter was good at forgetting her phone and she was unable to wear the phone like she can the Seculife Tracker. I also like that there is an SOS button for emergency situations. God forbid it ever happens, but if someone were to abduct a child, you can give the police exact GPS coordinates. The device can be on the lanyard below the shirt of in a pocket for stealth use. This is great for piece of mind. The kids can go play with their friends and you can always know which house they are at.

AT&T is the only option for the US
09/18/23 Off the bat minus one star for only offering AT&T. Had terrible experience with them in the past, not happy about it. It was a hustle to get it up and running. Took hours after activation for it to be online, it says that it may take up to 12hrs to connect, again another surprise that you find out about at the time where you already bought this and you’re about to activate it. Their website kept giving me error messages when I tried to activate the plan and I tried with multiple cards from different banks so I’m sure the problem was on their end. Operating it seems pretty straight forward. I’ll update the review when I’ve had it for a while.

Good tracker for the money
So far this GPS tracker seems to be pretty good. It does pinpoint its location within an acceptable range. I bought the $19 5 minute update plan, but I will probably be upgrading to the 60 second plan, as I'd like faster updates to know where my child is. I've had to contact customer service twice now, but it has nothing to do with them. It was me asking questions about how long it takes to link up to their network and how long the app takes to update settings. Though the tracker seems pretty good, the app seems like garbage. It's very slow and doesn't update settings right away (and I don't know how long yet that will take yet. Waiting to hear back from customer service.) Customer service has been great though. I emailed my questions and they not only responded with an email back, but they also called me to verify everything was okay. The batery on 5 minute updates has lasted from 6am this morning to 5pm this evening and the life is still around %68 percent. As of now, I've only had it for one full day and I like it. I'd give it a 5 star, but the app takes it down a notch. With some updates I'm sure it could be amazing. If anything changes, I'll update my review accordingly.

Warning: Tracking Failed + Endless Unauthorized Charges Even After Repeated Cancellations
I bought this SecuLife GPS tracker in May 2025, marketed as a real-time kids safety device you clip on clothing. The device itself is small and easy to attach, but the tracking was frequently inaccurate and lagged badly — nowhere near the “real-time” performance they advertise. It also feels like their senior SOS model rather than something built for active kids. What turned this into a major problem is the mandatory monthly subscription. I started requesting cancellation on November 30, 2025 because the tracking wasn’t reliable enough for my child’s safety. Despite multiple clear cancellation requests through their support (and some acknowledgments from them), SecuLife continued billing my card for months afterward. They kept sending retention offers and made the cancellation process far more difficult and drawn-out than it should have been. The combination of poor tracking performance and the ongoing billing long after I tried to cancel made the entire product experience extremely frustrating. I ultimately had to dispute the charges with my bank to stop them. I would not recommend this tracker to other parents.
