It works well.
Bought for renovating our 20+ year old VHS recorder so we could watch / download old tapes. Cleaned the heads up perfectly.

Good value for money and works as should.
Posted through letterbox hitting tiled floor. Not well packaged and tape flap broke away, removed tape flap completely and worked fine. Would of returned as damaged but needed to clean heads urgently.

Did the job
Video did not play tapes two years ago. Not been used since. Cleaned the heads with this product, put tape in, and after a short time picture came back great and stereo sound. All good, very happy.

Looks like a good product, but it didn't make a great deal of difference in my case.
Arrived quickly in the post, which was good. Packaging differs from that advertised here. Used on a VCR from 1996 that had never had the heads cleaned before, but hardly noticed any difference in picture/sound quality afterwards, but it wasn't terrible to begin with. Head cleaner solution can be tricky to gain access to unless you have at least a 1 inch pin and some leverage to break the tough plastic seal inside the nozzle. The instructions are not at all clear as to where exactly you need to put the drops of cleaning fluid. There is a little red hole on the left side above the tape reel that could somehow lead you to think that you need to insert the drops in there, but then common sense tells you to insert the drops directly onto the tape that you can gain access to through the opening where the fluid container is housed. From the other reviews it seems to work well. Maybe I didn't see much difference in my case because my heads were not that dirty.

Does the job perfectly on my JVC SVHS deck
Not the same package as the photo of what I ordered, but is priced sensibly and actually cleans the heads etc quite well and simply

Poorly made and didn't work with my VCR
Did some research on this before purchasing and opted for it based on the ratings. Unfortunately it didn't work in my VCR, was throwing out loads of errors. Would load but not Play, Fast Forward or Rewind. I think the poor manufacturing process means that the cleaning tape inside is too slack, the mechanisms too loose and overall build quality is pretty bad. Luckily not a huge amount of money, I'm using a Sony SLV-SE300 which has a degree of intelligence in it I'm led to believe from researching the error codes. Beware that it may not work with your system. I'm opting to do the cleaning in the old fashioned way by using the cleaning solution and cotton buds on the heads after opening up so the fluid at least comes in useful (if you have Isopropyl Alcohol handy then this can do the job).

Restored functionality
This product cleaned the heads of an old little used vhs player which I was using to digitise my old home videos. At first it didn’t seem to be working but after a couple of attempts the quality of the image was improved.

Not really good instructions supplied.
I had to cut the top off the bottle of cleaning fluid as none came out when I put it into the liquid hole. Video quality still didn’t seem to improve so I put drops on the tape from the area where the bottle was and hey presto! It worked. What a difference in the video quality on a VHS recorder that is donkeys years old.
