ITS HAMMER TIME...
Cheap and cheerful for odd jobs. image it wouldn't last long if it had too much hammer...

Broke on first use!
The head flew off on first use as the wood was rotten! I wasn’t even using it on a particularly hard surface!

Great price for well made priduct
Very well made, sturdy and good weight. More suitable for teenage use, kids loved using it for fossil hunting.

Head broke off on first use
The head broke off from the shaft on the very first time is used it. It almost hit me in the face, definitely avoid this item at all costs, not fit for purpose and extremely dangerous.

Good hammer.
At 24 oz, this is heavy enough for any brick trimming work you may need to do.It is comfortable to hold and well balanced.

Poor quality, don't bother buying. Melted chocolate would do a better job
I bought 2 of these to remove the weak mortar left on my garden wall bricks, which is Victorian so has been there around 130 years. The mortar is lime and is mostly powder on most of the bricks. My neighbour used one. His lasted around 90 minutes before the handle snapped. He was lucky as the head flew off. Mine lasted marginally better at about 3 hours, before failing in the same place in the same way. The wood appeared to be rotten, but in closer inspection it's just poorly made from inferior materials. The wood appears to be nothing more than a cheap balsa wood, very light, but also the end of the handle where it enters the hammer head is little more than 20mm2 in cross sectional area. I have had them collected today by Hermes and am awaiting my full refund. I'll update my review, positively or negatively if/when I receive my refund
