Great buy. Still works perfectly after almost 3years
Funny how this seems . Buy this product about 3 years ago and I still have it. Keeps my bed warm during the winter cold days. It still works up till now. Great buy. Would definitely recommend

Makes the bed nice and cosy
THIS IS MORE LIKE A HEATED SHEET THAN A BLANKET Purchased this heated blanket (under sheet) as it has been cold on a few occasions and didn’t want to put the heating on to heat the whole house when I’d be going to bed! This arrived and was fitted and on the bed in minutes it has straps that go around the mattress to keep it in place! It took longer to remake the bed than fit this but is practically unnoticeable when on and under the sheet apart from the wire (I’ve fitted it so you can’t see the wire) it is good quality and nice and soft (apart from 1 corner where the wire is) It is not the full length of the bed but I’ve fitted it almost to the bottom of the mattress so it comes up almost to top of back/shoulder height! it does have a corner that has the fairly small socket where the wire goes into the blanket! this is noticeable on occasions when you move and feel it! I have mine at bottom of bed but still hit it with my feet sometimes but not enough to make you want to remove it It has 3 heat settings and an off setting which I found setting 1 and 2 were rather pointless so mine is always on highest setting 3 and how it is positioned really makes the bed nice and warm It does not have any form of timer so will stay on until you switch it off (not good if you fall asleep with it on or get out of bed and leave it on) switching it off can be done on the control panel which is inline on the power cable or via the plug socket!! To overcome this I have mine plugged into a Meross smart socket which allows timers and schedules via its mobile app and I have mine to automatically turn off after an hour so when it’s really cold I’ll switch it on about 15 minutes before bed so I’ll get into a nice warm bed and if I fall asleep quickly it turns itself off

Warm, Adjustable Comfort for Cold Nights
I recently got the Silentnight Comfort Control Electric Blanket, and it’s been a real upgrade for staying warm during colder nights. It heats up fairly quickly and provides a consistent level of warmth that makes getting into bed much more comfortable in winter. The control settings are straightforward and easy to use, allowing you to adjust the temperature to your preference. I like that you can set it to a lower heat for all-night comfort or a higher setting to warm the bed up quickly before sleep. The blanket itself feels soft and cosy, and it sits comfortably on the bed without shifting around too much. It also gives a sense of reassurance knowing it’s designed with safety features like overheat protection and automatic controls. One minor downside is that the wires can be slightly noticeable when lying directly on top of it, but it’s not uncomfortable once you’re settled in. Overall, the Silentnight Comfort Control Electric Blanket is a reliable and effective way to stay warm without having to blast the heating all night. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for extra comfort in colder months.

Go larger
I decided to buy an electric underblanket as I suffer from cold feet. The double size whilst OK for a double bed does not cover out to the edges and in my view places the power inlet too far down the bed. After checking the measurements I bought a King size to fit my double bed and it worked out very well. Excellent coverage of the whole bed area. I placed it under the mattress topper to give it more protection and to limit the feel of the blanket wires through the sheet. That too works very well although it may slightly reduce the heat going up into the bed. Its a sacrifiice I was willing to make for the additional comfort. The securing straps are well fitting and hold the blanket in place. The Mattress topper also assists with that and I have not noticed any movement of the blanket at all. If I switch it to the high setting for about 45minutes before going to bed, the bed is wonderfully warm. I do not sleep with it on although it is entirely possible to do so. Would I recommend this product.......Absolutely!. Its my first Electric Blanket and I now wonder how I managed without one. My cats also love it. SilentNight is a well known name and the product appears to be well made. The control unit has three heat settings and two "off positions". I wonder if over time the slider controller may get a little worn as it seems to be of quite simple construction but time will tell. For those who want to automate the times the blanket comes on, there are some other more expensive blankets with more complex controllers incorporating a timer but for my use I do not see a need. I could however add automation by the inclusion of a wifi/app controlled socket should I be minded to. I have tried the lower power settings but I find they are less effective unless on for a longer period. They are more likely to be of greater use to those who may want a very low level of heat all night rather than as per my use of a pre-heat before going to bed. Running costs are minimal. This seems to be a good product and results and my experiences so far have been very positive.

A definite couple of converts!
This is a simple, value for money introduction to living with an electric blanket. We have friends & family who have used electric blankets for years but resisted having/using one believing in the old myths of - 'feeling the wires' - 'cannot wash the blanket' - 'is is too thick' Well, for a pair of first time users the results are great! It can be fitted under our mattress protector/topper so thickness is not an issue. We use 'deep sided' fitted sheets so it stays in place. It is machine washable according to the literature and instructions. Switch on about 45minutes before bedtime, and you get into a bed where the chill has been eliminated and you are immediately comfortable - The heat levels are more than adequate. The controller is easy to understand and use. The quality of the product is assured - 'Silent Night' - a good brand.

Order a bigger size if possible
This is reasonably priced and works well. After reading reviews I did buy a king size for my double bed and I’m so glad I did as I get cold feet and the king size still doesn’t cover all of a double mattress but I don’t feel I need it under my pillows and I’ve pulled it down to ensure that it covers the bottom of the mattress. It does ruckle a little but I don’t notice it when sleeping and simply smooth it out the next night before I turn it on. It does seem to need around 40 minutes to warm up fully but if you later put it on (if I get cold after it cools off) the lower heat setting works great and doesn’t take long to reheat. The Control and cables are a bit chunky but I didn’t want to spend a fortune and it died the job. First electric blanket and I’m pleased I bought it.

Not bad. Unremarkable performance.
So this gets amazing reviews and is clearly very popular. I also bought this electric blanket due to its scoring quite well with WHICH. But I must say so, far, my experience of electric blanket, is somewhat unremarkable. My biggest gripes — 1) it simply doesn’t get that hot on the highest setting 2) it takes a long time to heat up. But I remember electric blankets back in the day that really used to get hot. Even on its highest setting 3, I would say this electric blanket on a very cold night would barely cut it. On the highest setting, which is 3, I would say it never gets what I would call hot. It does get very very warm, on the edge of hot but not quite hot. It also takes quite a long time to warm up. If you have it on three for an hour, it won’t get to full temperature. And when you get in it will be warm but not hot. It has to heat up for longer than an hour on 3 for what I would consider to be cosy. So to be clear, this sucker up for 30 minutes, and you’re taking the chill of your bed. It’s not going to be hot. Heat it for an hour and it’s going to be warm but not hot. So for best results I found that I had to heat the blanket for over an hour in order to get very warm. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it does the job well enough I guess. But I’m certainly not blown away by its performance. Also, the main control, is very basic and it feels cheap.
