Amazon Basics 3.5mm Aux Audio Cable for Stereo Speaker or Subwoofer with Gold-Plated Plugs, 4 Foot, Black

I bought this cable as a replacement for a headphone cable that had long since been worn out. I'm a bit of an audiophile, as I am a guitar maker, and an experienced musician, I can't tolerate poor sound. With this in mind I decided to buy these cables as they had come highly recommended by friends who had use them for their headphones. Despite what I was expecting, these cables were in fact better than the ones I got with my high-end headphones. These are well made cables that don't feel overly thin or flimsy, and produce more than acceptable sound clarity for the price. I've used these in a plethora of other situations, such as the car speakers, and overall they haven't let me down. If you're on the hunt for a decent cable that won't let you down, at an affordable price point, there really isn't any point in looking further than these cables.

Build quality looks about the same as the numerous non-brand cheapies - not awful but not great. About 2mm step on the connectors - fine for my phone in its case, YVMMV. Headphone cables always end up breaking near a connector and I expect the same to happen with this after a few years of use. Audio sounds fine, no noticeable difference compared to other cables I have, but I'm not using expensive audiophile gear, just good budget gear: Philips SHP9500 phones & Fosi Q4. I don't know if those fifty quid audiophile cables are much better, if at all. Almost 8 quid. I know prices of most things have increased but it probably costs less than a quid to make this cable.

This was purchased for my boyfriend's bluetooth headphones; it has dual functionality in that you can also use it connected via one of these 3.5mm jacks. However, he lost the one that came with the headphones and I bought him this one to replace it. The sound provided through the cable seems as clear as the original. The cable itself is nicer than the original though - sturdier but still lightweight and easy to coil and put in a case. The ports also fit snugly, so no issues there. I will say that I thought the price was a bit high for the level of quality. If I wasn't already shopping, I probably would have looked around for a cheaper alternative, as I don't think the quality quite matches the price. Still, it's a nice item and not too expensive, so no real complaints.

My Bose soundlink revolve's battery stopped holding a charge, but it was still under warranty so I sent it in to be fixed. The cost of shipping was paid by Bose and the round trip time with the product out of my possession was reasonable; but still five weeks without my speaker. However, on return the device would not connect to any of my blue tooth devices. Their tech support eventually asked me to send the device back to them. It turns out, I'd rather have a male to male cord to physically connect my iPod to the speaker, than send it in again, despite it being under warranty. I've used this connection daily for six weeks now and the cord appears to be high quality. There is no fraying of the end and it essentially appears new. Amazon Basics had by far the best price for this kind of an extension. I've transported the device to and from work (in my lunch bag) and the cord has held up. The sound quality appears as good as when I used the blue tooth connectivity in the past. A winning product, with excellent durability and sound quality.

This is exactly what I needed for my laptop to connect to my speaker. The aux cord is high quality and the ends are really durable. The sound is great from my laptop to my speaker. It's really easy to plug in and play. I like the length because I need a lot of length from my laptop to my speaker. I use it for a karaoke set up. Overall it's exactly as advertised. It's a long aux cord that works great and is high quality.
