Can this be used directly against wound - non-adhesive part obv. Need to cover really awkward wound at top of finger.

The entire dressing is adhesive but gently so and that is the beauty of it; it can be applied directly over the wound and is not difficult to remove. I used it for a thumb tip knife wound and it was really helpful. Before purchasing I found articles online where a plastic surgeon described the usefulness of such dressings for finger wounds.
