CatEye Rear Rack Mount Bracket: Secures CatEye Lights on Rear Racks for Enhanced Visibility

Expensive for what it is but it does the job well enough. It fits 50mm and 80mm horizontal hole spacing which is standard for pannier racks. It can also be mounted using vertical holes too. You need to snap off the ovals to use as plastic ‘nuts’ for the screws to screw into when fitting it. You can see in my photos the screws still project a bit out the back a so I will trim them to avoid them potentially catching on anything. The locking screw is handy and enough to stop the light being removed when you aren’t looking but can quickly be removed so its fully thief proof. Overall it works well and lets me use my cateye lights on my pannier ok.

I bought this to go with my CatEye Omni 3 rear light as I wanted to secure it to the back of my pannier rack. This turned out to be very easy to do using the securing screws enclosed and I can be certain that the light won’t be obscured if I have anything on the pannier rack the way a saddle mounted light would be. Good value for money.

My aged, but tough, plastic & glass composite back-rack doesn't have any light mounting points and has a elastic strap slot I still find useful, so mounting a light on it has always required hacks. This mounting bracket is much better because of the various mounting holes. I was able to bolt this mount bracket to a modified Steel T repair strip, with the T upside-down, bolted to a Steel L repair bracket, which I bolted to the underside of the back-rack bed. I will now be able to use a retained elastic strap with the back-rack, without needing slack to get it over a back-light hack above the strap slot.

Great. Using to hold my cat eye on my MIK trek rear carrier. It's just they should include a fitting or two with their brilliant lights. They are brilliant. Usually their stuff is sent with cable ties. Anyway I love cateye so all is well.

This is a simple to use mount for Cateye lights with the square bracket. It fits easily on most racks and the light can be retained with a small screw to deter the opportunistic thief. This is my go to accessory for any new bike/rack as it puts the light as far back and as visible as possible.

I already had a Cateye rear light for my bike. Unfortunately the light was only really suitable for mounting on the seatpost or seat stay of the frame. I have a rear carrier/rack on my bike which makes both these options a bit awkward - hence the need for this bracket. It fits easily to the luggage rack and provides a secure mounting point for the rear light. My only criticism really is the price. It's a bit steep for a simple plastic bracket.

This has been used to fit an quite aged LED rear light onto a modern panier rack, reading the instructions and thinking about what I wanted to achieve, it fitted the old light to the new rack relatively stress free in about 10 minutes with just a standard sized cross head screw driver.

Does its job well enough, but I felt I shouldn’t have needed to buy it as an extra, after purchasing a light supplied with a bracket only suitable for attaching to a seat post.
