great shelves, looks good and sturdy, great value for not being real wood
The media could not be loaded. I really love these shelves and I am surprised at some of the higher quality aspects of this versus a lot of other inexpensive bookshelves.Pros:- The color is very pretty, would fit well into modern and/or farmhouse aesthetics. And there are lots of other furniture with a similar color so you can definitely match this with other pieces easily.- The construction was simple but sturdy. The instructions recommend 2 people and 50 minutes. I did it by myself no problem. It did take me longer than 50 minutes by myself but I also was just casually putting it together while watching tv, so I'm sure if you needed to put it together quicker you could.- The back panels slide into notches in the back of the shelves. Many other bookshelves at this price point come with a flimsy back panel (sometimes with multiple panels taped together) that you nail around the edges to attach it, which is just super cheap and bows out if you push against it. There are 3 separate panels and each one slides into the shelves so they look good and stay in place, even though they are thinner panels. This was a really pleasant surprise.- The included screws are more of a bronze color than a silver/steel color, which means they blend in more if you do not want to use the included stickers to cover them.- The stickers to cover the screws have a similar wood grain pattern as the shelves to help them blend in.- Instructions were pretty straight forward, though I was focused on the side panels and missed where they showed to slide the back panels in and I did have to unscrew 3 sides to slide them in after the fact. So just pay attention to where it shows to put the back F panels in!- All the shelves seem sturdy once put together. I don't notice any wobbling or anything when pushing or pulling on the shelves.Cons:- You do need your own phillips screwdriver. But you do not need a power drill or any other tools. Everything else is provided.- The stickers that cover the screws are just a slightly different shade than the shelves, which to me make them stick out more than just the screws themselves. I likely will not use them. BUT they are only on the long sides, and by that I mean they are more noticeable when you are using the shelves horizontally (where it is shorter and longer) than vertically (where it is taller but narrower). If you were placing it vertically, you likely wouldn't notice either the screws or the stickers. And I definitely appreciate the effort they put in to try and match the color/pattern. I just wish it was a slightly more accurate color match.- It does not come with anything to anchor it to a wall. If you have small children and want to secure this against the wall, you will need to get something separate to attach it. The shelves are sturdy but also pretty lightweight- if a small child was climbing it, I could see it tipping over.- The little stickers that label which piece is which are kind of annoying to remove. They don't really come off easily and I had to scratch some of it off, but it did not mess up the shelves so not a huge deal. All in all, I would say my cons list is more of a "slight inconvenience" list, and I think this is a really great value for the price considering it is not real wood. I don't expect it to last a lifetime, but I think it will last longer than a lot of other similarly priced cheapy shelves I saw before going with these ones. I would absolutely buy more, and probably will.

This item is worth every cent, it's fabulous!
This item is far better than the photo shows. It's sturdy, solid and beautiful. It was easy to assemble, which surprised me! I chose the lime green and I am so happy with this purchase that I'm thinking about purchasing a second one.

Good enough for a low budget apartment
I actually got three of these green shelves and they seem pretty consistent. I feel like my photos don't do the color justice because it's really a soft light green, and these make it look more like a sharp yellowish-green. I do like the color. And as others have mentioned, it is a bit of a shame that the directions aren't clear about the direction to connect the shelves. I had to reference the photo that showed how all the pieces will attach as well as coming back to this page to see how the colors align in order to make sure I was doing it right (especially in those first steps for the top shelves). They're pretty decent shelves as far as having a good amount of space on each shelf, the height, and being small enough to fit in a small apartment yet actually helpful for storage. The assembly is straightforward if you have experience with these kinds of projects but I had a few concerns. I believe the biggest problem is that it gives you the exact amount of all the pieces, meaning that if some come broken, you're just out of luck. Usually for shelves there will be one extra of most pieces. As shown, I did have a couple come broken and a wooden peg that split when I tried to use the mallet. With all three, I struggled when connecting the top shelves to the bottom shelves. When connecting, the circular metal connectors (I don't recall the exact name for them) are meant to turn 180ยฐ to secure the screws. But not a single one on any of them could. It felt like I was going to break the shelf itself, or threatened to strip those connectors. So there's a small gap there on each one, and nothing I tried was able to get them to connect snuggly. That and trying to screw in those black pieces behind the shelf were the hardest parts. It was pretty hard trying to screw into the shelf with no prep hole, with the screwdriver right up against the shelf with no room to hold it well. This shelf should have been really easy to put together (especially for someone like me with a lot of experience assembling furniture), but I ended up having hand cramps a few times. All-in-all they're what I needed so it will be fine. I just have to be careful with the one that has the broken peg since that one will be less safe (especially because it's at the part that can't connect properly). I do suggest getting your own straps to secure these to the wall, especially if you have kids or pets, because they're only stable as long as it doesn't get pushed on.Edit - I forgot to mention that the wood is a bit rough around the edges. The photo shows discoloration on the green, and that part feels really rough. And that is something that was consistent on all the shelves of the three units that I bought. It isn't necessarily a deal breaker for me, but it's something that you should be aware of before making a decision.

Take your time, review the directions. Sit on a flat surface. You need a phillips screw driver.
I LOVE these two open book cases for several reasons. First, the quality is excellent. The assembly was easy with the enclosed tools and instructions. If you're handy, you can knock this out in less than two hours. It could be less, but I'm a perfectionist and was bent over my computer chair.Second, I used a hammer to knock the straight nails into the back of the case. I didn't see the apparatus enclosed in the kit until after the fact. It didn't look sturdy at all. Then fortified it and added several more straight nails. Third, you can't go wrong with the price point and I know this will last me forever if I take care of them. Mine are used as part of my new plant arrangement/display. I love it and you will too. Did I mention that I'm 62 year's young??? ๐๐๐

great producT
Great .. itโs smaller than I thought but it works perfect for our nursery space. I store my breast pump and accessories in it and place it right next to my rocking chair. Itโs nice and study and can hold a lot of weight. Iโve only had it for about two weeks and It does already have a scratch so I was a bit disappointed in that. Other than that great product!
