attractive packet-ideal for a gift
i haven't planted them yet, so don't know if they will grow. but i love the packaging-it looks far more expensive than the price-ideal for a gift.

50% occupancy
I bought a solitary beehive and so wanted some bee friendly flowers to encourage them into my garden.Planted these in 'miracle grow' compost in late March. Watered every day - occasionally adding plant feed to water. Seedlings after 3 weeks. They grow tall very fast although don't flower for another 2 months. They are very attractive, plenty of colours (blue, purple, yellow) and the bees definitely love them. 'Wild' flowers - the type you'd find in a meadow - a messier, more disorganized look than some neater gardeners like - but I loved that meadow look.I did find that they grew so tall (about a metre high) that they no longer stood upright on their own. I had to prop my garden chairs against them or they would lean right over onto the lawn - some garden canes in the compost tied with string would work too! I imagine that if they were planted into the ground (rather than my planter) the roots might grow deeper for a much stronger foothold.Encouraged loads of bees - and now my beehive has 50% occupancy ready for next year.

wishing the bees will get there and appreciate!
I understood from reading reviews there aren't many seeds in the packet and some people were disappointed with the poor result, but, the quantity may be perfect for the patch allocated to "wild flowers" in my garden... and I might be lucky! It does say that a 2.5g pack will cover ONE m2. I accept the fact that, if you buy in small quantity because the area for your wild flowers is rather small, you will have to pay more per square meters than if you bought the seeds in bulk! All in all, the little packets of seeds might turn up to be good value after all(?). Anyway, I thought the best was to try one packet and to buy another "wild flower seeds" packet (Butterfly-friendly) to complement this Bee-friendly one. In case you want to do the same, make sure you buy them as a pair (DUOPACK), standard delivery, and NOT as 2 individual packets as I did and paid for, without noticing at the time of my order what was not so obvious. The company sent the 2 "individual" packets in one envelope as a duopack anyway. When I pointed out how much extra I had been charged, they were very reluctant to refund the balance. As a gesture of good will, and thanks to Amazon excellent organization, they DID refund the extra I had to pay, so, I have to say -in their favour- they acted as a "friendly" seed company, just as their name suggests. It would be interesting to know (why not?) the names of all the conservation organisations the 'Friendly Seed Company' send part of their proceeds so customers would be fully aware of their own personal little contribution towards those various companies.

Lovely flowers!
Excellent quality seeds. Great flowers for a variety of insects and a cheerful splash of colour in the garden. I actually got better results in a large 50 cm dia pot than in the ground. I used multipurpose compost and added some slow -release fertilizer granules and water-retaining crystals. Unfortunately I wasted some seed as I sew too thickly (will know better next time!). I hate thinning seedlings so I just left them and they sorted themselves out (looks like corn marigolds are the strongest). I water the pot, every day when it's hot, but other than that they don't need much attention. I think next year I'm going to add a few twigs in the middle for support to add height as they tend to flop on the sides, especially after the rain. The seeds come in a lovely packet so excellent as a gift.

lovely seeds
highly recommended these seeds I just planted the whole pack into a large square tub the end of March and watched them grow , they was really fast growers and would make a great edge filler. The bees love them ...they are wild flowers and abit unruly ..but I love the natural look and watching the bees come to them.

Don't get conned in to buying more
The seeds themselves are very good and will be great in our garden where we get bumblebees making their hives and I would have given 5 out of 5 but I bought Bee Friendly and Bee Mine together expecting them to be different seeds liked by bees but they aren't, they are identical from the same batch just put in different packets so if you're looking for a bee and butterfly friendly flower patch you only need to bother getting one kind don't be conned in to getting more the way I was.

Get the point across well
I can't report on whether they grew well or not, but the packet looked great and arrived in good time. They're just what was wanted for handing out at a talk on the importance of looking after the environment.
