My heart will go on
Our daughter has a particular interest in history and claims she is seen as the expert in the field at school. Indeed, we exposure her a lot to historic events and characters through the books we read and movies we watch given my fascination with history. She also loves reading and books, and quite cherishes her growing DK Young Readers historic library that she insists on ordering chronologically. So the Titanic book comes somewhat to the end. I got her this one as we plan to see the movie with her soon.DK Young Reader books are great for guided reading as the chapters are of good size for a single session and it’s great when the subject initiated discussion and debate. The more so since we usually try to read, watch and discuss additional material with her. The storylines are generally well composed despite being concise. And most importantly; it makes sense, unlike many other books for early readers. As an adult I must say I quite like the books as well, the clear material often rehearses the key facts about a person or age.The Usborne Young Reader books invariably are beautifully presented, the hardbound nature with a red page-finder string give them lasting appeal, with the contents colourful and very well illustrated. The Titanic book in this series is similar to the rest of the series. I also quite appreciate the variety of topics in this series.

Great for kids
I have a 6 year old girl who is obsessed with the titanic it’s came from no-where as neither me or hubby speak about it. Anyway she’s been watching documentaries on it and the survivors stories and I was looking for a little book she could read on her own and came across this and it’s perfect she understands it and can read it on her own and she carries it everywhere with her. Good little book for mini historians lol

Very Informative Book
A very good, informative book with lots of interesting details about the ship, what made it sink and the passengers on board together with diagrams to back up and explain the information. However the text was a little difficult for my eight year old but if this might be an issue don't let it put you off as it's still a great book to read to your child.
