I absolutely adore this book. It's high contrast, so it's perfect for newborns. And the design to make it fold out is great for putting it on the floor with the baby for tummy time. The pictures are gorgeous. I love that we can introduce animals to our baby. I know her understanding is limited right now at 7 weeks, but I foresee this book being a favorite for the next year or two. Right now, at her very young age, I love seeing how she stares at the images. It holds her attention for ages because of the high contrast. This is a beloved book in our house. I'll be buying more by the author for my baby because they are perfect for introducing basic words/ concepts. And for me, I just love the beautiful paintings. I hope the author makes more newborn books like this that are high contrast and work for tummy time. Highly recommend having this book the day your baby comes home from the hospital.

This is a perfect first book for baby! The pictures are beautiful yet simple. The black and white contrast is great for newborns. I like that the pages are sturdy and fold out accordion style. I can display the pictures around my baby so she can look around and take it in. She really enjoys it!

Gorgeous book! This author’s books are going to be my new go to baby shower gift or young child birthday gift. This book in particular is so wonderful with realistic, black-and-white images and the way it folds out is perfect for tummy time. The illustrations are breathtaking! Sincerely, the books could not be more lovely and perfectly written. I highly recommend these to anyone! We have quite a few now and hope to get more in the future for my grandsons.

Love this contrast book!! This book has been used with all of my babies, and I love it so much that I give as a gift to all my expecting mom friends. My youngest, just barely sick weeks old, loves looking at the pages. I prop it up in front of her while doing tummy time and it really engages her. We have fallen in love with this contrast book. From the very first time we opened it, my baby was totally captivated. The bold black and white images really grab their attention and the illustrations are beautiful. We use it during tummy time or on the go when I need something to keep my baby entertained.
