This is another pretty good Caldwell product, purchased to change the bag fitted to the Caldwell Rock rifle rest. As you might expect, it fits perfectly and does the job required of it. It arrived on time and was a reasonable price - terrific

These bags just about hold a 2 inch forend. They definitely do not accommodate a 3 inch forend.

The photo above looks real nice doesn't it? It would be nice if that's what you got but unfortunately it's not. To begin with, the bag is over-stuffed which makes the shape bloated. Then, it has a loop on one side that makes it sit lopsided. It's not as big as you might think, and for $20 you're getting a glorified bean bag. If it looked like the photo you'd say, "Well, it's pricey but it's a good bag," and you'd forget about the $20. But if you look at the photo of the bag I got, you'd probably put your palm to your forehead and think, "This was $20?" Maybe the fabric will stretch over time and the thing will relax a bit, but in the meantime it's gonna be as much of a pain to use as the small opening front rest that came with the Lead Sled. Now that know, you can make your choice better informed.

This is a 3" wide radius bag, not a squared off bag like the 3" Bald Eagle. I'm disappointed. My son has two front rests and we needed to swap the 2 1/4" bag with Velcro straps for a 3" bag on his smaller rest so his gun would work in either rest. This is the only bag with Velcro straps available, so despite the bad reviews I had to use it. I did make this bag work with a 3" wide stock, but it took me emptying half of the saw dust, stretching the leather to a square shape and then putting rubber bands on each side to hold the sand up in the ears and remain a square. It's not pretty, bit it will somewhat work. Caldwell should really change their picture of this bad to represent that it's a 3" half circle, not a 3" half square.

Was looking forward to this front rest as it stated it would accommodate my McMillan 3” stock. Upon arrival the shape as others mention was nothing like the picture on the box.I hoped I may have had a defective one so requested a replacement but sadly the second one was just as bad. You can see from my picture there is no way this bag would even accomodate a 3” stock.

This bag works as it should. My only gripe is that mine arrived over filled. Can't speak to durability yet, but it looks and feels well constructed and should last for a long time.

This will not fit a 3" stock, the stitching is terrible and it barely resembles the item they show. +1 star for quick shipping, +1 start for at least being green. This is going back.
