S9711/31 Shaver Series 9000

This is a fantastic shaver. it works brilliantly and looks great. The cleaning device that came with it is also a great piece of kit. I would recommend this model to anyone despite the price.

I have been wet shaving for years get shaved in the morning and by bedtime ready for another shave. I have used Philips Coolskin Rotary Shaver before and found it gave me a bad rash so I was sceptic about this Philips S9711/31 Shaver Series 9000. The reason for the change fed-up paying extortionate prices for blades. Using the Philips S9711/31 I found it gave me a shave nearly as good as a wet shave 9.5 out of 10 small irritation for a few days while my skin adjusted to the shaver it takes 3/4 times longer to shave to get the same result as a wet shave. I would recommend this shaver it is by far the best electric I have ever used.

Gives a very good shave

Having used a Philishave for the past 12 years, when its cleaning base stopped working I didn't hesitate. I bought another - and because I use it everyday, I bought the most expensive model in the range. What a disappointment! An object lesson in how to cheapen a quality product which Philips should be ashamed of. The floating heads didn't float, they just dug into my face. The motor was screaming and noisy. The cleaning brush was a joke - a tiny plastic thing that would have disgraced a cheap Christmas cracker! There was no plastic protective cover for the heads, so they could easily get damaged if the shaver was packed without its carry case - and the carry case, what a joke! It was a cheap and nasty cardboard affair with a zip, which jammed and wouldn't go all the way round. Needless to say, I sent it back for a refund (which was given without demur) and looked around for something else. I think it was made in China or some other place of that ilk. It's an example of cost cutting of the worst kind. Before my original Philishave I used a Braun, which at over 20 years old still works although it doesn't hold its charge very well. So I bought the latest model Braun - and, HOORAY - it was made in GERMANY and feels as if it's been carved from solid steel and gives a brilliant shave. And, the icing on the cake is that it cost £70 less than the Philishave. So I say to anybody looking for a brilliant shaver - go for a BRAUN. Ignore anything else, the BRAUN is made to last and worth every penny.

A good shaver so far with a long battery life when fully charged.

I've been dry and wet shaving ever since it became necessary some 53 years ago and for much of that time I've used Philips shavers. I've always found them to be good, in fact for me they're the best, but I must say that they are, and always have been very expensive. This is my latest purchase, for the the price I hope it lasts for a considerable number of years. Despite being a top of the range Shaver it doesn't have a beard trimmer built in, as was the case in the past. That's a nuisance because it means one has to remove the cutting heads, and plug in a separate trimmer. Philips haven't given this latest Shaver design much thought, the Shaver is the only thing that fits in the travel case. Obviously everything else has to be carried separately, not very convenient. That the very high price plus the bulky cleaning system means only three stars.

Great shaver ideal and the cleaner is brilliant highly recommended where I'm disabled and have limited use of my hands first class superb

Very light, quiet, comfortable to hold. Complex cleaning system which can leak. Very expensive and no better result than much cheaper models

Erg fijn scheerapparaat, de tondeuse mist inderdaad, maar dat hebben ze tegenwoordig allemaal niet meer. Waar je hem voor koopt, scheren, doet hij fantastisch. Glad resultaat en geen irritatie.

Que mas se puede decir, llevo con Philips hace muchos años así que esta seguro de la compra, pero el producto me agrado en su calidad y sus prestaciones, la mejor experiencia de un afeitado excluyendo un afeitado a mano de eso de las películas de los años 50.

per me che ho sempre avuto problemi di rasatura è fantastico. ho sempre utilizzato i modelli tipo Braun con testina dritta ma mi creavano sempre irritazione. Con questo modello ho risolto. la base di ricarica tiene il rasoio in ordine, lavato e pulito. il ciclo di pulizia è funghetto (circa 3 ore) e abbastanza rumoroso.. quindi consiglio di farlo alla mattina dopo la rasatura...

Oude model had ingebouwde tondeuse voor snel bijwerken bakkebaard/snor/baard, nu alleen los geleverd waarbij scheerkop gewisseld moet worden. Onhandig in dagelijks gebruik, ook in reis-etui geen ruimte gemaakt om mee te nemen. Nu maar losse tondeuse gekocht, erg onhandig allemaal.
