My requirements for a new bbq are for Propane at 37mbar and an orifice size of 0.91mm. Sounds like 8mm might be too tight.

Those requirements are for the regulator, not the hose. This hose will work fine for most BBQ's, but you have to get the correct regulator to fit onto the gas bottle for the type of gas you are using. This hose is suitable for Propane and Butane.

Bs iso 2230 says 7 years, plus 3 if inspected and deemed safe.
