is this ok to use in an open fire BBQ grill? or it has a limit on how much heat it can take?

It's made of a block of aluminium (fairly thick) with a non-stick coating. Maximum temperature isn't as high as for steel or cast iron. The aluminium should withstand the heat - not sure about the non-stick coating if exposed to prolonged high temperatures. Besides your takoyaki would be well and truly toast. Made in China, instructions in Japanese, but no temperature rating - I reckon good for 250C.

Ours was purchased 7 years ago, so at the time it was still made in Japan......try Japan centre or other specialised Japanese shops and ask if they have made in Japan ones. Not sure if the amazon ones are still genuine.

If this pan is delivery to uk from japan, do i have to pay duty?
