A great mouse mat very comfortable to use

Spending many hours in front of a PC began to cause some wrist strain. I began using an ergonomic mouse which significantly improved the pain. However, I came across this mouse mat with gel pad and decided to add this to my home office with a view to further improving my dilemma. The mouse mat itself is robust and certainly made from quality material with a non-slip base. The gel pad in particular is nice and soft; there is plenty of space on the mouse mat surface for the mouse to move around freely. Unfortunately, I found my wrist pain worsened when using a vertical ergonomic mouse in conjunction with this mouse mat, largely due to the gel pad compressing the ulner nerve which runs down the side of the wrist towards the little finger. After thirty minutes of use I was in agony. I decided to try the mouse mat with a regular mouse and found it was fantastic in providing the much needed wrist support required when the hand is in this position. The gel pad is very comfortable when the wrist lays upon it and feels quite soothing as it is cool to the touch. If you are using a regular mouse, this is a great solution to minimise wrist pain.

I have had this mousemat for a while now and its still great. I used to have an old dell mouse (Dell are rubbish dont buy Dell btw). Anyway, when this mat was new it had a great grip and traction on the track ball in the dell mouse. The many dimpled surface has worn a bit but it still grips the track ball as well as it ever did. I upgraded to a laser mouse about a year ago, as that works perfectly as well, no problems whatsoever. I cant really comment on optical mice, but from my experience most of them felt cheap and jumped to the end of the screen a lot from subtle movements anyway. As for the wristrest itselt, its amazingly squidgey, you'll be poking fun at it for ages, though this was my first gel rest. Something that is annoying is that others who sit at your desk will try to pop it open so the gel oozes out, this hasnt happed though despite great efforts from various people. The rest is on the firm side and of course plastic coated rather than the softer fabric coated belkin gel rests. Another fantasic thing about it is that the underside of the mat is made from sticky squidgey rubber that will adhere to any flat surface, so it wont move about while your using it. This can lead to the eventualy build up of dust and debris on the underside, but you can rinse it off... its all plastic. For me its great, makes my pc seem 100 pounds more expensive due to its professional look. Be warned however, if you need a large mat or use your mouse in large turning circle movements this will not suffice, and it will not replace a gaming mat, which arent comfortable at all but ensure you wont run the mouse off the mat easily. But im a gamer dabbling in the old Oblivion and UT3 goodness and i have not a problem with it...BUY IT.

Very nice gel-rest mouse mat. Works with my trackball just fine. Good for gaming. It's larger than the pictures of it convey, a good large size. Pretty much anti-slip. Cost more than the other mats but definitely worth it.

This is my second Kensington Duo Gel Mousepad Wave (my first was blue). I had my first one for 8 years before the wrist pad split and the gel gradually leaked out and became sticky (it took over a year from splitting to gel leaking), and the only reason it split is that the wrist area 'hovers' over nothing on a corner on my cockpit style desk, and the weight of my wrist on it eventually caused it to split, but it did take 7 years for that to happen. The mousepad also gets moved often, as my son uses my desk when he visits, and he's a righty and I'm a lefty. The stickiness of the underside has never lessened with all the moving about. When it gets a bit gritty or the stickiness seems to have gone, I take a wet-wipe and clean it, and voila it's sticky again. On initial use, the gel rest itself is very firm, but this gradually softens after 6months, but does not get too soft and continues to support the wrist over its lifetime. Incredibly great value considering how long it lasts and how good it's support is.

This is a really comfortable gel filled mousepad and is far superior to the memory foam alternatives. The back is rubber so it doesn't slide around your desk and is easily cleaned by a wipe over with a damp cloth. It also stays cool on the wrist so no sweat.

I needed a mouse mat for use on a glass desk top where my optical mouse was refusing to work. When it arrived I was pleased to see that it was made of really good quality materials as I admit it's not the cheapest of mouse mats on the market. The base of the mat is manufactured in such a way that it appears to glue itself to the surface of the desk, when in fact there's no adhesive on the base at all, but when I say 'appears to glue itself' I really mean it appears to GLUE itself to the surface. Fantastic! So no more slipping and sliding while you're trying your best to move figures from one Excel cell to another. The firmness of the palm rest has also been very well designed and they've managed to strike just the right balance between too soft and too hard. All in all it looks very stylish, it's made well, and does exactly what it's say's on the box. And the best thing... my mouse now works on the glass desk top.

Ich arbeite beruflich wie privat täglich viele Stunden am PC und habe dieses Mauspad im Einsatz. Ich empfinde es überragend (habe übrigens die Handballenauflage vom selben Hersteller im selben Look, zur Info). Der Handballen wird perfekt abgestützt, meine Logitech-Funkmaus lässt sich perfekt bedienen. Das Mauspad ist absolut rutschfest, was man nicht von allen behaupten kann. Das Material ist so beschaffen, dass man nicht schwitzt, sondern immer angenehm, egal bei welchen Temperaturen. Nur habe ich es irgendwie geschafft, einen Riss in die Oberfläche zu bringen, das mag aber generell kein Gel-Pad, und das Problem sehe ich eher bei mir als beim Pad :-) Daher werde ich es mit Sicherheit wiederkaufen und vergebe die höchstmögliche Sternenzahl. Klare Kaufempfehlung, wer so ein Mauspad sucht.

Best purchase ever for my mouse at work (and gosh knows I've been through a lot). MUST BUY if you don't want to develop carpal tunnel. Even bought two more for my mom for her home and work!

Acabo de recibir la alfombrilla y me parece un producto correcto. Cumple con mis expectativas y mis necesidades. Antideslizante, superficie adecuada para ratón óptico (que, además, goza de un tamaño adecuado), apoyo de gel para la muñeca, estéticamente vistoso... Por ponerle una pequeña pega y que no parezca que trabajo para el fabricante, podría decir que el gel podría ser un poco más blandito (está bien pero podría estar mejor, para mi que no necesito muchas horas de uso al día), pero también es cierto que si fuera más blandito acusaría demasiado el paso de las horas. En resumen, muy buen producto. Ahora solo falta ver que tal resiste el uso y el paso del tiempo, ya que, como digo arriba, acabo de recibirlo. En cuanto al precio, es alto. Pero la relación entre calidad y precio me parece correcta.
