One of my FAVORITE journal covers!
I’m a bit notebook obsessed and absolutely LOVE this journal cover! So useful and I’ve purchased them in other sizes, as well. I have two with elastic closures and one with a zipper. Love them both! IN A NUTSHELL: This cover could be useful for anyone who might need a notebook in a variety of settings, including in the field and while traveling. Engineers, students, and medical workers come to mind… but also artists and writers. EDC peeps would probably like this cover, too, or the smaller options. It’s high quality, useful, and unique. Excellent value and to be honest, I’ll probably buy another lol. I highly recommend this journal cover and brand! More details are below. PROS: - Sturdy pockets + pen holder. - Keeps closed and organized. - Easy to carry or throw in your bag. - Makes organization easier on the go. - Plenty of room for pens and small supplies. - Room for 2 journals or more. You can fit a second A5 journal in the interior left side slot, and maybe another thin one in the slot I use for pens. - Interior pockets for business cards, post-it tabs, small art tools or templates, etc. The pockets are big enough for those tiny Voilant Moleskine notebooks or a pocket calculator. - Sturdy and practical with a wide variety of applications and uses. - Great price for the value I’ve gotten out of it. - There’s a zipper option for sale if that interests you. CONS: I honestly can’t think of any. It’s met and surpassed my expectations. I’ve found tons of uses for it and I’m sure it could be useful for you, too. Notes: • There’s a leather-ish tab attached to the band that makes it easier to close. It could be mistaken for a pen holder. I’ve never used it for a pen (it’s too small). I’m not sure it’s meant for a pen… just a heads-up on that. You have plenty of room anyway. :) • Someone mentioned smell… I experienced zero problems and no strange smell. USE: I use these covers for many things—meeting/business notes, class notes, work, even for some of my sketchbooks. I swap out whatever notebook I need (make sure the size fits your needs before you buy). It protects the paper and keeps everything together if I have loose notes or business cards stored. It’s been helpful at conferences and meetings. I love that all my Kokuyo notebooks and flexible spiral sketchbooks fit! Basically, this journal cover is perfect for everything. Go ahead and buy it if you made it this far!

Well sewn and durable journal cover at a fair price!
This journal cover is exactly what I was looking for. It fits all the standard A5-sized journals like the Leuchtturm 1917, Rhodia Goalbook, and Moleskine Classic. It is a great protector if you are going to carry your journal in a bag and don't want to get the pages banged up or if you want to keep a few supplies with your journal. The zipper is smooth but also substantial. It is a YKK which means it should continue to be smooth and last as long as the rest of the cover. The cover is made of a tough nylon material which should resist wear and provide good longevity. I am glad that Diodrio makes this cover, because all the other covers out there seem to think everyone just wants a leather flap on the outside of their journal that provides no protection. I want mine to survive in my backpack without being beaten to bits by the time I get to the end of the journal. Glad I found this. There were no reviews or ratings for this product when I purchased it, so I took a leap of faith, and it was worth it!

NOT FOR THICK A5 Journals
I was trying to find some journal covers that would fit the following criteria: 1) must cover at LEAST front and back (the all around zipper is a plus but not necessary) 2) It had to have pockets that could fit at least 2 pens, a thin packet of sticky notes, a mini tape ripper for washy tape, and my washy tape roll 3) It had to be big enough to fit my soft cover journals (they are A5) - a huge plus if they can fit a hardcover A5 journal but not mandatory 4) It should leave minimal if not NO damage to the soft journal when all writing tools are inside and slight pressure is applied outside (this is to simulate travel in a back pack or in a suit case) 5) Items should not easily spill out when the journal cover is shaken (aka I don't want my writing tools to be damaged upon rough travel or accidently slip out if I carry it by itself). This test is more important on journal covers that do not have a zipper that goes all the way around but also if it does have a zipper the contents inside shouldn't be moving around like crazy as this can cause unpredictable damage to said soft cover journal. Here are the following results of my test: 1) The journal gets full coverage!! Front, back, all the sides. (10/10) The zipper is a great addition for much thinner journals (<100 pages) - more exploitation later 2) It has a LOT of pockets for pens and sticky notes though anything thicker than a sticky note prove difficult and I could not fit my washy tape. These are the bare essentials that I use when I write on the go. (8/10). Gains points for extra pen pockets. Losses points because limited space for slightly ticker writing tools. 3) The journal is big enough to fit an A5 standard journal. My soft cover journals have some lead way to their own covers and it fits the entire cover. (10/10) Just to test it's limits, the journal cover did not want to close comfortably with a hard cover journal putting some stress on the zipper and the lining. But again, not a mandatory test but one more out of curiosity. 4) Here's the big kicker and where that zipper functionality becomes sorta useless. All my journals are around 200-250 pages. I find journals less than <100 would greatly benefit with this journal cover. However, anything more than that and you're risking your tools and your cover being damaged. The picture and the dimensions probably don't really give you good picture. My 200 page journal was the ONLY thing that fit in this journal cover. If I added a pen or my washy tape I could not close the journal cover much less zip it up. I did a VERY slight pressure test with what tools I could fit in the journal cover and it 100% left a sizable dent in my soft cover journal and defeated the purpose of why I wanted this product. (0/10) 5) Lastly, I noticed that unless your pens have the grip of god as their pen clip it's likely that everything would spill out if you do not zipper up the cover. It sorta holds everything together but sorta doesn't really cut it for me. (5/10) All in all I did return the product. However, it's because this product was not for me and did not meet my needs for when I travel and write. If you have a very thin journal, I think this works perfectly for you. But again, it's not a product for me.

This is a good quality and handsome-looking folio. After using it for a couple of days, I must say I am pleased with my purchase. The folio is just the right size to hold an A5 size notebook (e.g. Moleskin Journal). It is actually also able to hold an A5-plus size notebook (e.g. Dingbats Journal). Happy with this product.

Good for protecting hardcover, and especially softcover notebooks. The firmness of the notebook cover makes it easier to write. The storage pockets are very convenient for business cards, reference material and additional paperwork.
