Q: Is this compatible with the htc vive pro?

No. This would not fit the pro.

Q: can this increase the chances of sweat damage?

In my experience it decreases it. The foam stuff that comes with the vive absorbs sweat and all the gack that comes with it, this just wipes clean and improves the visual experience while it's at it.
