Stanley 1-TRA704T"Type G" Staples, Silver, 6 mm, Set of 1000 Piece , Yellow

I bought these to use with my Stanley Sharpshooter nail gun and they’ve been spot on. The staples feel sturdy and strong and fire cleanly every time with no bending or jamming. I used them to pin foil insulation to the walls of my shed and they held everything firmly in place without tearing through the material. The quality is exactly what I expect from Stanley and they seem tough enough to last long term. You get a large quantity in the box, which makes the value for money very good, especially for bigger DIY jobs. A dependable staple that does exactly what it’s meant to do.

These appear to be as good a quality staple as most others and drive in fully without buckling. They come at a good price and in a handy resealable plastic container. The 8mm staple is widely used for projects that require a shorter staple such a thin cloth, material or paper to wood, though tasks like furniture recovering may require a longer staple especially when stapling pleated edges. Longer staples such as the 14mm can buckle when driving into hard wood, if the staple gun is set to low power or if the gun is not held flat and firmly onto the surface being stapled. It's also worth noting that these staples are much thicker than a paper stapler and that they do not fold to hold paper together, they and the staple gun are designed to drive into predominately wood and to attach thinner materials to that wood. These staples are compatible with the good old 140 type staplers.
