Parrot CK3100 LCD
Excellent product , fitting is straight forward, additional wiring is required for individual vehicals to mate with the CK3100,so that it co-ordinates with your onboard entertainment & navigation systems if fitted. these can vary in prices so some homework needs to be done, The CK3100 is simple to set up, however some tools need to be purchased if you have to remove any entertainment systems and a some knowledge will be required, if you attempt to play with the vehical electrics get some proffessional advice first. Be aware that disconnecting batterys as recommended, may alter your vehical computer units and may have to be initiated once reconnection is made. The CK3100 has a clear easy to read display unit that you can attatch in almost any position to allow the driver to see without distraction. I have fitted these to my fleet cars to avoid any of my staff losing their licences and endangering other road users whilst staying in communication. I have received good feedback from the users and can recommend this product. Decruz1017 Company Director. Care home Group.

Parrot CK3100
After trawling through the internet and finding which bluetooth unit to buy, the only option was a parrot based one. However, the choice between a 3000 & 3100 LCD versin was the fact that I could see if the mother-in-law was calling !!!! I purchased the CK3100 and a loom for my stereo and they arrived within 24hrs. Being quite a technical person installation was very straight forward. If you are handy with a screwdriver and take care on removing facias etc then this is a straight forward job. I located all the cables and control units by removing my glove box and putting them out of sight. The downside is the manual is very vague when it comes to connecting to your headset it does not tell you if you need an additional connecting lead from your stereo to your headset. Also, on some cars you need to swap over the two fuse carriers. This can be found online, but not in the manual. This sort of information you have to find out for yourself. If installation is an issue there are several automotive companies that will install the unit for less than £200. BMW charge £325 !!!!!!!! After installation which I did in a very slow methodical manner (which took me an hour) I put the unit to test. Operation of the unit along with pairing is described sufficiently in the manual. I set my phone, the wife's phone and the daughter's phone to pair with the unit. As the unit will only utilise the one it picks up first, it is very simple to connect to another of the paired phones if required. The voice commands are recorded easily and you do not have to use the words they instruct you to i.e. 'Phone', you could use 'Call' for example or 'Hang Up' where you can use 'End'. The only downside is the because when the voice commands are recorded, the radio is muted. When you are driving hoever you have your stereo on. With this, if it is too high, the unit will not pick up your voice to make a hands free call. The only way around this is to either turn the stereo volume down or off. Not a big problem, but then again not hands free. I have also managed to upgrade the software on the unit using a laptop and bluetooth connection. This was very simple and well described on the Parrot website where you can download the software application, latest software and instructions on how to upgrade software for free. The clarity of sound making and receiving calls is excellent and no-one has yet informed me that they have had issues when making or taking calls using the Parrot unit. The wife and daughter are not technically minded (no disrespect) and nor are they at the front or middle of the queue when it comes to gadgetry of an electronic nature, but they found it very simple to use. All in all £89 for a Parrot unit and a connecting loom for my headset = Bargain. Far cheaper than an OEM.

Parrot CK-3100; excellent kit & a doddle to install
It's pretty much all been said in other reviews, but the Parrot CK-3100 is excellent and good value for an easy-fit, in-car phone solution. Install to ISO wiring is a doddle as the kit simply connects in-between your cars wiring loom and existing ICE unit; no other mucking around with finding a power source, earth connections etc; simple plug-n-play. The main control box could be awkward to find a home for in some vehicles, but shouldn't be a huge problem as there's plenty of cable length to facilitate install well inside the dash. Install in a Renault Scenic took about 1.5 hours to make sure everything safely secured and tidy. Pairing of the phones was straight-forward and the contacts lists simply sync to the CK-3100; each pair up pretty quick and ready to run in under a minute. Ease of operation and good quality audio, both in-coming and out-going. Overall the CK-3100 is a simple to install and operate bluetooth car-kit that does the job and offeres very good value for what it does and how it works. Is worthy of four and half stars, but there's no option for this in review, hence the four star rating. On a scale of 1-10, rated 9. (PS: Radio mute option on most Renault branded ICE is mute terminal 3, plus you need to reverse the permanent and switched 12v feeds by swapping on fuse holders).

Excellent CK3100
Just bought the CK3100 and fitted it in about an hour. Wiring quite straight forward, hardest bit was fitting all the wires back behind the dashboard and radio. Works perfectly. I checked out the Parrot website where you can enter your exact car model and it gave me a couple of tips regarding the wiring for my Renault Laguna(ie. swapping the red and orange fuse wires). There is also a forum on there, giving help on installation and pairing with your phone if you get really stuck. Anyway I think the CK3100 is fantastic and would definately recommended it. At the moment I'm like a big kid and can't wait to get in my car and make and receive calls!! Sad I know!!
