WOLF-Garten ZMI15 Multi-Change Lightweight Aluminium Handle, Red, 150 cm

After using the longer 170cm wooden version of this handle, I was after a shorter one for more close-up work. I prefer wood, but this aluminium one is a lot cheaper, but still feels sturdy and well made, and a little lighter too. I've used it with a combination of the Wolf Garten tools: the weeding knife, weed brush and scraper, and it's great. I'm about 6' tall and the D-handle and T-handle (if you can find one) are a bit too short for me. This is about perfect, I'm glad I bought it.

I like this modular system for garden tools. Makes storing tools a lot easier. The Wolf system is not exactly cheap, but it is really sturdy and easy to use.

Really useful strong handle that interchanges with various heads for raking and lots of other gardening tasks

A must have handle

This is the middle size of the three 'long' handles Wolf-Garten offer and should suit most users who are about 5'9" tall or less. There are also 120cm and 180cm versions as well as a much shorter one for those tools either expressly designed to be used as a hand-tool or that could be. The handles clip over any of many different heads that are available and which can be released by pressing a button. Attachment and release is quick and easy. The handle is very lightweight but also rigid and sturdy. It is capable of quite heavy use of a tool without flexing and it feels comfortable in the hands and seems less likely to cause blisters than some tools that have managed to achieve them within a few minutes. Although you could collect many of the available tools, you may only need 3 handles, a long one to suit your height, a short hand-tool one, or a spade-type. The concept is simple and there are many tools from which to choose and their quality is good. Should a tool wear out or cease to be effective, there are replacements.
