HALO PROACTIVE SPORTS WASH LIQUID 1 LITRE

I bought this product as a last resort to get body odour from my partners clothes. They always smelt like BO and musty damp when washed. We tried everything, and I mean, all the old wives tales, different products that 'guarantee' freshness etc. None worked. I came across thus product and despite me gritting my teeth at the price thought "why not?" I'll be honest, I was really not expecting any results. Oh, was I wrong!! First wash (roughly 8 tshirts) on a normal cycle with this added instead of our normal detergent and some of our usual conditioner and the smell had 95% gone - I am really optimistic that when they're washed again, the smell will be none existent. The size isn't big for what it costs. It's the average size of a detergent bottle, HOWEVER, it works! We will most definitely be buying more and in my eyes it is totally worth the money instead of spending so much on other products that won't and don't work. If you're struggling with the same issue, try it, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I have polo shirts for work that are a cotton/polyester mix. My job can be quite physical so I get a bit sweaty sometimes and my shirts had begun to stink even after being washed. Like a horrible cheesy dog smell whenever I started sweating again. It wasn't me by the way 😂 Found out about Halo after googling for some help with the smelly shirts and after just two washes, the smell has gone completely, even being washed on a 30. I was surprised it worked but it did. And trust me....my shirts honked before this!

Seems good so far. Hard to tell as it is to help combat atheletes foot. Time will tell.

Don waste £20 on Gymwash - this does it all at half the price! I hand-washed horse-riding gear on holiday, but had issues drying it. It developed a foot-type smell that biological laundry tabs, scent boosters, and hotter/longer machine cycles didn't fix once I got home. I used a capful of this for a 30min hot soak, then ran my usual 30mins 'daily' washing machine setting - they smelled like new again! I teach fitness classes for a living - this will now be a store-cupboard staple.

I use this for my teenage boys PE kit and sports tops, other items of similar fabrics such as bras and knickers. It gives a pleasant smell to the items and takes away ingrained body odour smells. I can only use a few washing liquids due to allergies and this one does not irritate me at all. We are in a hard water area, I still only seem to need a small amount.

Bought this for my poor short legged doggo who gets a little fungaly in her sensitive parts. Ive also given all my socks a good go with it. So far I am fungaly free and her fungals only get threatening not all consuming.

It does a great job and does work very well even with stubborn smells, however, I bought this for £6.99 in 2019 and now it's £19 in 2025! 5 star for the wash but 1 star for the price!

There are a few variables which can effect the effectiveness of this product, such as temperature, wash cycle, type of clothing, amount of clothing in the drum etc If, like me, you are turning to this product because your sportswear starts to kick up when doing sweaty exercise, then this worked for me. Put in half the load. I put 2 sports tshirts, 2 pullovers, 2 cycling shorts and 2 pairs of rugby socks (it's cold and they work!). I then stick the programme to 2 hour cycle with a pre wash as well. The sports clothing settings on most washing machines only run for about 45 minutes. This doesn't give the clothing a good enough wash I've found. I go for a normal mixed/easy care setting at 30 degrees THEN I also add a pre wash for good measure. This take my wash from 47 minutes to 1 hour 57 minutes. I then put 1 cap full in the pre wash and 1 ½ or 2 caps in the normal detergent tray. Don't do softener! This basically puts a soft film over the threads of the material and seals the old smell in and stops it from absorbing the sweat from your body. Have a go, see what you think
