Great product
Works well with emulsion for wall and ceilings. Easy to operate needs practice at dilution of paint for best results. Extension arm worth buying to reduce ladder work and to get in corners over cupboards. On the heavy side I suspect for some users and refilling with paint can be difficult to grip container. Overall fast and gives great finish. The plastic sheets with tape strips available make it easy and as always the effort is on the preparation and not the painting. Well worth the investment.

Wagner W 590 FLEXiO paint spray system Not bad at all but could be better
My personal experience with the Wagner W 590 FLEXiO paint spray system aligns with many user reviews and expert evaluations. Here’s my detailed assessment based on various reviews and tests: Key Features and Performance Versatility: The W 590 FLEXiO is designed to handle a range of painting tasks, from large surfaces to detailed work, thanks to its two included nozzles (iSpray for broad areas and Detail Finish for precision) . Ease of Use: While the system is marketed as user-friendly, many users find it requires a learning curve to achieve an even coat, especially beginners. Efficiency: It’s praised for its ability to cover large areas quickly, with a capacity of up to 8 gallons per hour, which is significantly faster than traditional methods. Adjustable Settings: The adjustable flow control and pattern settings allow customization based on the project needs, which can help in achieving more consistent results once mastered. Common Issues Clogging: The iSpray nozzle is prone to clogging, particularly when using thicker paints or in hot conditions, which can cause the paint to dry and clog the nozzle. Heat Sensitivity: The nozzle can overheat during extended use, leading to further clogging issues, as I have experienced. This is a common complaint among users and can disrupt the painting process, but I must stress this is if used over a long period of spaying. Learning Curve: Many users, especially those new to paint sprayers, find it challenging to lay an even coat without experiencing issues like overspray or uneven coverage. This often requires practice and careful adjustment of the settings. Durability Concerns: Some reviews highlight issues with the build quality, with users reporting cracks or other signs of wear over time (House Grail). Overall Assessment Despite its drawbacks, the Wagner W 590 FLEXiO is generally considered a good tool for DIY enthusiasts and homeowners. It offers significant time savings and versatility for various painting projects. However, it does require careful handling and regular maintenance to avoid issues like clogging and to achieve consistent results. Recommendations Practice: Spend some time practicing with the sprayer on a less critical surface to get a feel for the settings and how to achieve the best results. Regular Cleaning: Regularly clean the nozzle and other parts to prevent clogging, especially during long painting sessions. Adjust Settings: Experiment with the adjustable flow control and spray patterns to find the optimal settings for your specific paint and project. In summary, while the Wagner W 590 FLEXiO has its challenges, particularly with clogging and the learning curve, it remains a popular choice for its versatility and efficiency when used correctly. My mixed experience is a common sentiment, reflecting both its strengths and areas for improvement.

Its good but…
This is a good product but beware some of the claims. Whilst it can cope with emulsion straight out of the tin, it struggles a bit. You definitely need to dilute by 10% as it suggests. Beware going more than that though as it gets very active and sprays everywhere. Its not as clean as it wants you to believe. The ‘no cutting in’ claim is pure fantasy. Its about as messy as a roller but faster…but not by much. Coverage looks blotchy to start with but dries evenly. Its not a pro product for sure but I’ve used it a fair bit and for large rooms which are empty and no carpet it would be a godsend. If youve got a small room, I wouldnt use it and if youre painting around furniture in a single room, be careful where you point it. Finally, if you fill the emulsions canister its heavy to wield. Fine at the start but as youre coming to the end the muscles are tightening even if your a big person. A great addition would be being able to rotate the collector spout from outside the canister

Used with Ducksback on my fence. We'll pleased and would recommend to friends and family.
Only used it the once to date and very pleased with how easy it is to use and clean. Considering I was using Ducksback paint and the sprayer for the first time the results were first class. As the paint was so thick, I turned the air up to maximum and kept the air flow going for a few seconds after the reservoir emptied. This appears to stop any build up or blockages on the nozzle and kept a nice even spray pattern throughout. To clean the the pot I just washed it out with water, then filled it again and reattached it to the gun and sprayed the water into an empty bucket until it sprayed clean water. Finally, I took the nozzle apart and cleaned each part with water. All this took less than 10 minutes. Not tried this with emulsion yet, but will review again when I do. At the moment it's a definite 5 star product for me. One recommendation I would make is to buy an extra paint pot especially if someone can fill it as you will empty the other quite quickly when spraying a fence. Used with emulsion today. First used it on our bedroom ceiling then on the four walls after cutting in. Tried it initially without watering the emulsion down but then did a 10% dilution with water. Superb finish on both the walls and ceiling. Very very pleased with this product. Took a lot longer to clean than with the fence paint but wanted to be sure the spray mechanism works well next time, still on took 15 minutes.

Flawed in too many ways
After a lot of research searching for anything better than the miserable results from so called ‘flawless’ rollers & associated general rubbish this seemed like a good mid-range solution. Now I’m a very experienced trade (not a decorator) but i know what im doing & have spent countless hours painting & can I see design flaws…. The cable is woefully short (4 feet at best & actually quite a pathetic cost cutting move) if you’re doing a ceiling you’ll need an extention reel draped around your neck. The paint container is slippery to get on / off with wet or damp hands! Why not fit a little tab on the side Wagner ? Its got indentations at the base but they’re useless. To switch from high to low work ie moving down a wall you have to stop, disassemble the annoying paint container and turn the spout around inside, this is covered in paint naturally…. so here we go …wash / rinse hands & struggle to get the slippery container back on ! Meanwhile your work is drying off and you’ll get a tramline when returning to carry on. Now while we’re struggling to get the container back on the natural place to hold the gun is where the paint flow dial is located (this isn’t very well marked anyway) so by now that’s moved off its previous setting. After much faff you FINALLY carry on the work & the setting is different (remember to check this each time) In summary: After practice walls can be painted evenly & quickly, ceilings are extremely tricky & strangling yourself with a must have extention lead is not ideal. THE PAINT CONTAINER IS A MASSIVE DESIGN FLAW ! Oh & it’s a bit small but it can’t be too large or it’ll be too heavy, I get that but a few more ML would get the average wall covered without a re-fill. This needs a bit more design & attention towards actual real life use !

Paint splatter issue
The claim this product can paint walls is false, even after two coats it leaves patchy dots and unfortunately not worth it for a nice finish. Their bigger products are superb but this one is a miss

Recommended purchase, just be patience and pay attention on a couple of things.
My wife and I needed to paint a bedroom. We are not "professional" painters at all, but having painted before in a traditional way and having bought a lot of plastic stuff (rolls, trays, etc.) which can barely be reused (especially rolls) even after cleaning, we opted for a more durable solution. Wagner W 590 sprayer allowed us to complete the room in 4/half hours (with two coats) rather than 1 day and half we typically spent when using rolls (considering a coat a day). The finish looks very professional, as spray reaches corners and difficult spots. Product is of German quality, I was very impressed by its engineering. However, if you are new to spraying, i have the following suggestions: - be patient: it will take a few attempts before mastering how to use the sprayer properly (right distance, width of spray, etc.). I recommend trying several times on a cardboard before moving to the wall. - keep a small roll at hand, in the beginning if you over-spray, you will see areas with drops of paint, just roll them over - spray particles will go everywhere, therefore: 1) wear protective masks at all time (ironically, in these Covid times when a proper mask is difficult to purchase, one FFP2 mask is included with the sprayer); 2) protect windows and doors with plastic sheets (make sure they are taped properly, the sprayer releases strong air which may move the plastic sheets). Same for the floor, protect it from spray particles and dust. - Paint needs to be water-based, and you will need to refill quite a few times, depending on the area you need to spray. We used Dulux "white matt" from Homebase: every time I refilled I was adding a 10% water and gave a good stir. - Cleaning takes some time, do it in the garden drain or in your utility room sink if possible, just use water; components can be removed and repositioned easily. - Finally make sure you carefully read the clear instructions and leaflet; also I suggest to watch videos on Wagner Youtube channel. Good luck and regards

Stop using if the noise changes!!
I bought this for a multitude of DIY projects and was genuinely excited to use it. It was doing a reasonably good job considering that I hadn't used one before and am sure I didn't quite have it dialled in for the paint I was using. Before I could get it running perfectly it started sounding low on power then it made quite a dramatic pop noise and spat fragments of carbon out of the front. I was holding it close to my face at the time. So I would like to try one that is not faulty before completely righting this off. Over all it felt like a quality product, I think I just got a dud. See photos to appreciate the scale of the malfunction.
