Glides perfectly 10*
If I could give this product 10* I would. I moved into my bungalow 4 months ago and the only thing I didn't like were the curtain poles, but it felt extravagant to replace them. I dreaded opening and closing the curtains each day - it was so difficult. The rings would catch on the extendable joint and hooks would jump out of the rings. With this Ezyglide they literally glide along the pole. I'm so happy. I took the advice seen in another review and layed a small piece up to the expendable joint and then ran the whole lenth on top. It worked perfectly. Thankyou so much. I now love everything about my new home.

Curtains glide
Easy to fit on one piece curtain pole. My curtains don't have nylon inserts in rings so the rings bind on the pole. The glide tape works well making it much easier to close/open curtains by pulling on them lower down. Not perfect but much better than it was.

It works!
Bought this thinking it was a gimmick. I have a metal telescopic curtain pole and the metal curtain rings get stuck over the join. It is really very annoying and I was about to buy a new curtain pole but my searches brought me to this product. I had to secure the pole so it no longer turned (as this product needs to be stuck to the top edge) by screwing in both ends to the holders and also glued the telescopic bit so it no longer moved in and out after making it the desired length. I removed the curtains but left the rings on the pole and stuck this tape on the top of the pole. And put it back up. Then put the curtains back up. It works. I still, out of habit, go to hank the curtains across and then get a surprise when they glide quietly!! Apart from securing the pole properly and gluing the telescopic bit, the whole job to stick on the tape only took a few minutes. I did ensure I had enough to go the full length. It is a simple idea but so effective. The plastic sticks when you remove the red film to the pole. It is flexible yet relatively thick plastic so the curtain rings glide along it. Brilliant. Also the product arrived faster than stated.

100% Effective
I installed my curtains 9 months ago. They are of the metal eyelet type and the eyelets are quite sharp where they rest on the pole. The metal pole is very high quality so I did not expect the curtains to stick when opening and closing them. Thinking about it, though, it's pretty obvious that they would as the weight of the curtains causes the eyelets to "dig in" to the pole. I bought this tape as it received good reviews and is very reasonably priced. My curtain pole is about 2 metres so one roll of tape was enough. Before applying the tape, I cleaned the pole thoroughly with an alcohol based cleaner and then spent just about 5 minutes applying the tape. I didn't need to remove the curtains - it was a very simple job. The end result is brilliant: not only do the curtains now move completely freely and without any drag on the pole whatsoever, the annoying metal-on-metal scraping noise that the eyelets made has gone. This product has solved my problem 100% completely, so I highly recommend it. One other thing - when I ordered the tape it was going to take about 6 or 7 days to arrive but it actually was delivered in 2 days. No complaints at all!

Just the job
My rented flat has telescopic curtain poles with not one but 2 sets of steps, so the curtains have always caught on them. Saw this by chance and took a punt on it. It's fantastic. It was easy to fit even without being able to take the curtains off (just feed it under the loops or rings in your curtains - recommend doing this before taking the sticky backing off) then stick to the top of the rod. The curtains now slide easily and smoothly. And the tape is narrow enough and transparent so you can't tell it's there without looking really really closely. I don't know how long it will last, but the fact it's stick on means that should I leave my rented flat, it should be removable again with just as minimal fuss.

No good for curved poles!!!
We have an iron rail which was made for our bay window; so no joins but bends. The curtains dragged terribly to the point they were tearing. I hoped this tape would solve the problem but, it did not have enough stretch in it to sit around the curve without puckering badly. I’d say it would be easy to use on a straight rail but certainly not one which curves as with a bay window. We had to throw it away, BUT, I tried rubbing the pole with a nylon type sanding pad (don’t know what they are called sorry) then applying a bit of beeswax amd buffing it off. The curtains now glide as if on air; quite unbelievable!!!

Curtains open smoothly now
My curtain rings were grinding against the pole and kept getting stuck when I was trying to open the curtains. Adding this tape really smoothed things out and now the rings glide really smoothly. I fitted this on a bay window and it works fairly well even with the pass over rings. Would highly recommend if you have curtains on a pol that dont open smoothly. It would be even better if they did angled corners connecting tape for bay windows.

BEST AMAZON PURCHASE EVER!
This is by far my favorite product I have purchased from Amazon! So much so, I've never left a review for a purchase and this product definitely deserves one. Who knew that "music to my ears" would be no sound at all! I have very large windows throughout my entire house which all require curtains as blinds won't fit. After 3 years, I couldn't stand the noise my curtains would make when opening and closing them, especially with my newborn whom I try so hard not to wake when wanting to adjust my curtains. I stumbled upon this product and ordered 1, thinking it wouldn't be what I was after as it sounded too good to be true. It was super easy to install (literally 2 minutes) and the ANGELS sang the moment I put the tape to the test. Seriously, I thought I had gone deaf. Even my husband was in shock at the silence. I immediately purchased 6 more for the rest of the house. Also, the tape works beautifully over the joints in the rods. This product really is perfect. I only have one tip for the customer: If your rods are wider (my master bedroom is 1.5 inches, the rest of the house is 1.25 or thinner), I would suggest 2 rows of tape, 1 row starting in the middle of the rod slightly on the back side and the other touching that one in the middle and tapped slightly towards the front of the rod. This will ensure that no portion of the ring is touching the rod when sliding. Although it's not a huge difference with just one piece of tape, 2 would have been better. Having said that, I guess having different width options would be nice since I know quite a few people who have over-sized curtain rods (2+ inches wide). Either way, your ears will thank you for buying this product!

Amazing stuff, a life saver!
Love this! I put pleated sheer Ikea curtains up in about 15m of floor to ceiling glass windows, on the Ikea poles and then they kept getting stuck on the join in the extendable pole. It was a huge project and disappointing to have this issue after all the work and expense. But not anymore! I ordered a roll of Ezy Glide to test and it works amazing, I am so happy! I'm going to install it across all the poles as it makes opening and closing feel so much nicer and smoother. Thank you!

Amazing! Love this product!
We have a 10-foot window in our living room, and had installed a curtain rod that extended to fit this size, rather than pay the expense of a custom rod. The adjustable rod has 2 places where the inner (smaller) rods extended from the central rod on either side, causing a bump in the rod. We open the drapes every morning and close them at night, but for 2 years we struggled with closing the drapes because the curtain rings would catch on the bump where the 2 rod sizes meet, occasionally causing a disconnect between the rings and drapery hooks. A smooth closing required us to stand on a stool and get hands-on to guide them over the bumps. This tape has made a huge difference! The bumps are greatly minimized and the rings now glide easily over them. A note about installation: Ideally the tape would be installed on a rod before the drapes and curtain rings are installed, but we found it easy enough to install without removing the drapes. Before starting to install the tape from left to right, we moved all the drapes to the right side and got the left side done. We then fed the remainder of the tape (with backing still attached on that half, so it's not sticking) through each curtain ring and then moved all the drapes to the already taped left side. Then it was easy to remove the backing and stick the tape to the right half. The tape is clear and virtually invisible from a regular vantage point, as shown in last photo. Love this product, and wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again!
