Would a UV kill this bacteria?

I have a UV light in the pond, but also use the Pure Pond balls or bomb once a month. I don't know if the light would be enough, but have been using Pure Pond since it came on the market. My pondwater is always crystal clear, and I swear by this product. Don't know if the UV light alone would give such brilliant results. Hope this helps!

Probably a dumb question but would this be alright to use in a smaller external filter for an aquarium?

100% yes it is safe and beneficial for freshwater aquariums and can be used in all types of filters.Don't waste money on the aquarium version as you will get the same bacteria, less balls and pay much more.I sell filter media online (Biohome) and have been giving these balls away with all the media for years to help to seed the media. In new systems it helps to iron out any ammonia and nitrite spikes which would otherwise be associated with an establishing tank and filter.Just make sure to use good porous filter media which will support a good population of bacteria or the bacteria released from these balls will mostly be lost to water changes. Once media is mature you should not need to add any more balls unless you do major filter maintenance.

How long dose it take to work ?

Should see a difference in a week but depends on how your filters and bio system are working

how often can I use this product?

As often as you like you cannot overdose this product, but I usually use it when I clean out my filters usually every 4 weeks
