Arlington CP3540-1C Ceiling Box Cover Plate for 3-1/2" & 4" Boxes, Paintable (2-Pack)

I needed to cover two areas where I had taken out two fans and these covers worked great to cover the electrical boxes. They were easy to install and accommodated the older style electrical boxes. Once I installed and tightened them I painted them to match the ceiling paint. These look great and I highly recommend.

It was simple to install and well made. I needed something to cover where the lights over the fireplace where. The lights interfeared with the motion of the TV mount and had to be removed. It now looks professional and almost like speakers. The old gang box cover just did not look finished, this does. I highly recommend this product

These are low profile and have many different ways to hang, which helps with different screw lengths of separation. My particular need was a hole cut to one side more than the other, so the adapter allowed me to hang this off center to cover the entire hole. The plastic adapter allows for several screw configurations to be used with the same cover. There is one hole for just push on securing of the cover or a threaded hole allowing you to pull tight to an uneven surface. These are 5.5 in diameter and maybe 0.5 in deep, with a textured paintable surface.

Mounting of bracket is easy to mount, fits a variety of box sizes. Cover plate can be installed as "push in" or "screw in" depending on ceiling or wall surface type. I used them on old wired in smoke detector openings in ceiling. Tried a variety of other cover plate options. These fit the best and gave a clean look.

When someone cuts too large a hole, or you simply need to hide a ceiling box this is a great solution. Ease of installation is generally 5 star. If the ceiling box is set above the sheetrock, you will need spacers and longer than usual screws, but once these are gathered installation is easy.

We removed an ugly old chandelier in our dining room but dared not remove the box and plaster up the hole as the box was being used as a junction box for other circuits in this old house. So we used one of these plates to cover the hole. It's simple to install, is nearly flat, has no visible hardware, and being almost the same shade of white as the ceiling is so unobtrusive as to be essentially invisible. Highly recommended.

My J-box was 3" diameter. I used the spots in the bracket that accommodate screws which are already started into the holes in the box. I was covering a box that had been for a hard-wired smoke alarm, installed on a wall, not a ceiling. When the cover's pin/peg is inserted into the bracket, either hole (the screw-in or the push-on) you use will cause it to install not quite on center. -- it's inevitably going to be off by about 3/16". The paint on my walls is called Swiss Coffee, and the plastic matched nicely.

I had an old hard wired smoke detector removed years ago- like I don't even remember how long ago. Thats how long I've been looking at dangling wires- that I became blind to it....until one nite, 2 wks ago when I noticed a slight shadowy movement happening in the still of the nite. I get out of bed, turn on the big light &, gosh-darnit, I see a daddy long legs sneak back up in between the dangling wires. How long was this spider haunting my ceiling while I slept? How far down did it manage to creep? Did it's tentacles ever touch my purses? I will never know. Thereafter, for 2 wks, all I saw was that gaping hole of a devil spider portal. No! No more. It's now covered & my room is completely emptied for deep cleaning & exorcism (actually, for new floors, but same difference).

Such a perfect solution. Saved me a lot of trouble to remove and fill in the electric cut out for a ceiling fan we removed. Instantly covers and gives the ceiling a nice finish. And if we ever decide to put a light fixture up it will be so easy to open up and access the electric box.

A low-profile cover plate and easy to install with the supplied with mounting hardware. Fits flush against our ceiling and blends in well. These plates have a slight texture to them so can be painted if needed. Happy to find this item on Amazon, made in USA.

Simple plate with a screw adaptor that allows it to be attached to a range of screw distances etc. It fits fairly snugly - not perfect, hence four stars - but really does exactly what it’s supposed to, so no complaints here. Good value for money and easy to install.

All plastic, can be painted. Oversized to accomodate for sloppy contracting.

Had a junction box on my ceiling and needed a cover, this looks good and went up in minutes.
