Dry Scalp Shampoo for Very Dry, Itchy and Flaky Scalp - Anti Dandruff Shampoo with hydrating Vitamin B5 – Free from fragrance, soap and perfume 200ml

I have been using this shampoo for around two years for a very dry, itchy and sensitive scalp. Before using it, my symptoms were quite severe, with large visible dry flakes, significant irritation and itching bad enough that scratching was causing hair loss. I bought it because E45 is a trusted brand, it had good reviews, and it is fragrance-free.I use it twice a week, and after around a month I noticed a significant improvement. It reduced the itching, dryness and visible flakes, and the effects have continued between washes. It has also helped reduce scalp oiliness without making my scalp feel stripped or irritated.The shampoo feels gentle and soothing when used. It lathers fairly well, although in hard water areas I find I need to add a little extra water in my palm to help it foam. It rinses out easily and has a mild pharmaceutical scent, but it is not unpleasant and is much less noticeable than fragranced shampoos.After washing, my hair feels soft but slightly dry, so I would not describe this as a particularly moisturising shampoo for the hair itself. I have fine, dry, wavy hair and it does not cause irritation, but those with already very dry hair may need to use a conditioner or additional hair care products alongside it.The 200 ml bottle lasts a surprisingly long time. Mine typically lasts around four to six months with twice-weekly use, which makes it good value for money.Compared with other anti-dandruff shampoos I have tried, including Head & Shoulders, I find this much more effective for my scalp because it feels soothing rather than just treating flakes. I would recommend it to anyone with a dry, itchy or sensitive scalp looking for a gentle, fragrance-free option. If you have oily, genuine dandruff rather than dry scalp irritation, a different type of treatment shampoo may be more suitable.

Why have I never tried this before I’ve spent thousands on shampoo’s I’ve used every prescription type every tar one’s every expensive ones yet Nothing worked even shaved my head as was so bad!! I’ve had horrible thick scabby itchy scalp for most my life (I’m now 47!) & this this £5 something shampoo has literally cleared my scalp Completely!! Not a shred of dry itchy scalp not a dry flake in sight! Just a completely normal healthy scalp! I wish I had found this sooner I’ve been embarrassed for years about my scalp n how bad it looked I’ve just ordered my 2nd bottle ready for when this one runs out but still have plenty left just don’t want to run out lol!

I’m so happy with this product, I had intense dry very itchy scalp, due to a shampoo product that I used previously for the first time. I was scratching my head most of the day untill it became sore, so thought I would try this shampoo, I washed it and rinsed it twice, it lathered well, does make your hair a bit dry and straw like when wet, but don’t let that put you off, after rinsing my hair I put conditioner on the ends of my hair combed it wet and let it dry naturally. No hair breakage, and the best bit No ITCH after scratching my head almost all through the day the difference after using this is incredible, it really does work hair feels nice, clean and soft will definitely buy again

I suffer really bad with dry itchy scalp. I’ve tried numerous products but this one seems to be the best. As a hairdresser I will recommend this. Not greasy and no smell and noticed a huge improvement in my scalp using it from the first wash.

Overall: ✩✩✩--The shampoo was fine on its own. You do not need to use a significant amount for it to work well. Upon initial use, the shampoo helped to relieve the itching in my scalp. However, over several weeks, I noticed that it reacted badly with Head and Shoulders.I am not quite sure why this is the case. But it has left my hair itching even worse for the coming weeks. I do not recommend that you use any other hair products when using this one. I am now having to go see the GP to see what it has done to my scalp.PackagingThe product arrived in a timely manner as expected from Amazon Prime. It was neatly packed and did not have any damage upon arrival.The productThe product is a 200 ml shampoo bottle, that is, a bottle that is just about the same size as the palm of your hand. It is a plastic bottle with a blue cap. It is durable and lasts for a weeks if you are conservative with your use of it.The smellThe product does not smell particularly nice. It has a strong medicinal smell, almost like the smell of hair dye. It is pungent, but when washed off from the hair, it does not leave an after-smell luckily.The latherThe product lathers well when in the shower. I have no complaints about the quality of the lather either. It is not too frothy like other shampoo brands, nor is it too dry to lather up like Lynx.Reaction with other hair productsThe product does not seem to like to be combined with Head and Shoulders and caused a nasty reaction to my scalp. It has left it itching for weeks which has not been particularly comfortable. It does not seem to reach with my Loreal Conditioner. I would recommend that you apply only a small amount to determine if it reacts with your own hair products.

This is fabulous! I did not have dandruff but my scalp was slightly red and itchy and it completely went away

After learning I had some allergies , to what seemed like almost everything in shampoo, this was listed as one of the things that would safe for me to use. It leaves your hair super soft and has definitely improved my scalp health. Just wish it came in a bigger bottle!

Have been using this for months. Works well. No scalp irritation. No more dry scalp.Only slight downside is no fragrance.

My wife has sensitive skin in particular on her Skala. We found a product from Canada which worked great but too hard to get so tried E45 and it did the trick, Competetivly prices so happy to use this product from now on.

I have scalp psoriasis that I have tried so many different products for so I when I saw this I thought I’d give it a try. It’s the only thing that has helped! It is fragrance free which works for me, the bottle is probably as listed but it seems small (or I just go through it quickly). My hair is soft and not greasy after using. The actual product also doesn’t feel greasy while using. I’ve found this to be very effective in cleaning my scalp and also helping with dry skin!
