Calligraphy in the Copperplate Style (Lettering, Calligraphy, Typography)

Brilliant for beginners like me and so easy to follow and for the price I bought 2 and cut up the spare book and glued them to paper in the ways I wanted and laminated them put in a hole in top corner i used a tie to keep them togetherI only have to look at the pictures so i dont go through the whole page of writing pictures ect or loose my rithum with the pen because I've lost my place on the page if u get me?The laminated pieces are for personal use and not seen/used outside of my room!!!Only did it because of my dyslexia and needed to make it as simple as possible by using the pictures only

I was looking for a book to help me improve my penmanship and it has been quite difficult. I fancied copperplate so I purchased this. Note this was for my everyday handwriting not Calligraphy but this has done the trick nicely. Clear examples to copy out and instructions on how to create each letter with certain stroke.I only wish there was one more geared to everyday hand-writing with an ordinary pen.

Great book, covers all the basic strokes and tells you how to combine them, all you need to know, just need to practice now.

Having learnt itlaic writing at school, I was interested to learn a new hand in my semi-retirement. I have had endless fun with copperplate: the writing is therapeutic, and watching letters develop at the tip of the nib with such grace is always a thrill. I am now after several months of practice, producing work that is of saleable quality. This book sets out the steps in an ABC manner, and all you have to do is follow their advice, and practice, practice, practice.

Very clear and well compiled. I am enjoying working through it.

This is a good little book teaching you the art of copperplate writing style. Reminds me of when being taught with dip pens at school.

The book itself is great however the quality was not as expected. Pages lose and some missing.

Not for beginners but has some great tips in it.Following the advice and pictures ... Made some lovely cards.
