It has petroleum in it but is better than Vaseline as it has cotton seed oil in it

No indication on tin. Ingredients are listed as essential oil (Aromol), cottonseed oil in a special petrolatum base. Hope this helps.

Does this smell like rose water? Turkish delight?

Hi There, Thank you for your question. Smith's Rosebud Salve has a light rose scent which is not over bearing. I personally find it quite nice and uplifting. I don't think it is too much like Turkish delight ie over sweet. If you wanted something a little different we also have the Mocha Rose and the Strawberry Rose versions available in tubes.
