Can this be used without the infuser?

This tea kettle includes a steel infuser that keeps the loosened tea leaves getting into your tea cup. But the infuser is removable easily, it can be used without the steeping infuser.

How do you remove the infuser (without the steam when the tea is done steeping? Do you need to remove the Entire cover.

You need to remove the entire lid I believe in order to remove the infuser because it snaps on/off beneath the lid.

What material is the lid made out of? It simply says “all material is food grade” but doesn’t mention the material. It appears to be silicone?

The lid and handle are made out of plastic.

How does lid open to pit water in? One button flip top or do you need to take it completely off?

The lid has a "lock" and "unlock" symbol on the lid. Twist the center to unlock, and remove. Fill with water, replace the lid, and turn to the lock position.
