Q: How do you clean these once they get dirty with grime

I soak mine in warm soapy water...bit of fairy liquid. It doesn't get all the stains out but gets rid of the dirt and grease. Still works perfect. 

Q: Please can you tell me are the bristles 100% Bronze, or are they steel please?

I think they are bronze but can’t say for certain. I can say that I have used mine for nearly 1 year and no scratches to my gun barrels. I use a rod with bronze brush and cleaner to loosen the residue and then run the bore snake through to finish. It’s also very easy to wash. Put in a sock bag and chuck in the washing machine. Great bit of kit, thoroughly recommend.
