I've tried many fountains and this is by far the best. It's as quiet as the quietest among the choices, meaning when the fridge is on you can't really hear it, and when the fridge is off there's a little noise. I keep it in the kitchen so I'm not bothered by it, and my two cats don't seem to mind the noise. In fact, the cats love it, and love drinking from it. In addition, the filter is great, and lasts about a month. I even left it longer and my cats were still happy to drink out of it - I get a lot of NYC street dust in my house, and my cats are picky about fresh water so this is good news to me. In addition, in between changing filters, you just need to fill it regularly. You don't need to clean it each time you fill it, or even once a week, because the filter is so good that it catches a lot of stuff. You just need to clean in when you change the filter, and it's one of the easiest fountains to clean. I definitely recommend it.

This fountain is not safe. The cord for the pump is inside the water which is not safe at all. My cats won't even go near it. The way water comes out does not work as described. I am send this back and I will buy a more expensive fountain.Update: The seller has been in contact with me and is being very helpful. Although I have already returned this item, they have made me aware that the cord is safe in the water and that there is a way to adjust the flow of the water. They are very willing to work with me to make it right since myself nor my cats liked this fountain at no fault to the seller.

The fountain itself is a decent fountain, I'm happy with how easy it is to clean and my pets seem to prefer the bubbling type of fountains over the waterfall fountains. My biggest complaint is how quickly the filters start growing that red mildewy stuff. Ick. I take the whole unit apart every week and scrub it down. About halfway through the second week of a new filter, the pets will stop drinking from the fountain and when I clean it out, I find that icky stuff growing. For the price, I'm not opposed to replacing the filter every two weeks, but it is farrrrr far from the 90 days promised on the package.

I was initially concerned I would not be able to find replacement filters and I almost returned the unit. Their customer service was very responsive and promised filters would be available on Amazon which they were. I think the filters are a little challenging to replace, but my unit has been working well since March. I am pleased and I think my kitty is too. I would recommend it. I

About time! My cat loves this fountain. It's quiet and keeps the water cooler, even in hot weather. It's been interesting trying to clean the filter, tho. So it's about time they came up with the opportunity to buy extra filters. And with it's broad base, there is much less chance that some clumsy accident will spill the water all over the floor. It's not hard to clean, once you figure out how it's put together.

This filter has four thick plastic tabs sticking out around the edge. I have to cut the tabs off (not easy but doable) so it will fit into my fountain. Once I do that, it does what is supposed to do.

I replace this in my cats water fountain every month. It keeps their food, hair, and dirt out of their water. And keeps them from spilling the water all over the floor.

I bought this fountain and my puppy hadn't used it for even a month before deciding to use the fountain to poop in... so I found these filters online immediately after. The price is reasonable and the item was in stock, made it to my doorstep in less than a week. Good customer service too, we're happy customers!
